Big Brother Naija winner, Efe Ejeba, arrived Nigeria on Monday night and attended his first ever press conference at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Ikoyi on Tuesday morning.
The 23-year-old rapper was announced as a new Payporte Brand Ambassador alongside Bisola, the first runner up of the TV Reality Show. PREMIUM TIMES had a chat with the latest millionaire in town at the event where he spoke about his plans and his experience in the Big Brother Naija house.

PT: How do you feel winning Big Brother Nigeria?
Efe: I feel blessed and I am full of gratitude to everyone who voted for me and supported me throughout my stay in the Big Brother Naija competition. I was simply living my life and having fun in the house. I was totally oblivious of the fact that I was receiving so much love outside of the house. I am happy winning but I feel that real success is measured by how many lives I can touch.

PT: Do you think you did anything different that set you apart from your fellow contestants?
Efe: I really did things different. Everyone came to win but I was just myself while some came with strategies, which we got to find out later. I feel I represent the average Nigerian youth in the house.

PT: How did it feel like to be locked up in a particular place for 78 days?
EFE: It was crazy but I was not worried because I was there for the money. I said if it was 90 days I didn’t care because I was out to win. They say we wouldn’t use our phones and I told them that they could even keep my phone for two years. I was never tired of staying in the BBNaija house.

PT: How would you describe your experience in the house?
Efe: Its funny that in a place where we expect a lot of immorality, I became more disciplined.  I didn’t think I would ordinarily have fitted into the Big Brother House because I am not posh but I was proven wrong. When I got into the BBnaija house I realised that I was a bit different from other housemates. I was not just playing for the camera, so, when I was angry or happy I showed it. As time went by, I began believing that I would actually win the show.

PT: How did you cope with your fellow housemates?
Efe: I learnt tolerance and learnt that some people may have great personalities but still exhibit some unacceptable behaviour. I learnt that I needed to compromise and relate with these set of people despite their flaws. I lived in a confined space and several people invaded my space. I couldn’t keep them aside because of certain things they did, so I looked beyond their flaws and embraced their positive side.

PT: You were always placed on eviction every week.
Efe: I’m overwhelmed by this win because I grew up feeling like people didn’t love me and it turned out to be my strong point. I don’t try to be nice to people because I know what people think about me anyway. When I was in school, I was way ahead in class and people felt threatened by my young age. So, every week, I knew that I would be nominated for eviction and that was why I was ready to die just to win the head of house task. I didn’t believe in anyone winning the head of house task to save me aside from myself. So, when it came to those tasks I gave it my all.

PT: Some people think that Tboss’ infamous chat with you in the BBNaija house counted against her. Recall her telling you that if she won the show, she would splash N25 million in a week. Your reaction was simply priceless…
Efe: I was stunned when she told me that she would finish N25 million in a week. I though within myself that, “Me I ready die put for N25m but you say you fit spend am in one week. So wetin you come they do for the house na? You dey block oda people space na.” The biggest irony of the house was that the younger ones knew how to manage their actions but the older ones just said it as it came.

PT: What are your thoughts on the Kemen and the Tboss episode?
Efe: Based on logistics, my people say I no dey diplomatic so I won’t comment on the matter.

PT: Your fans in Jos say you never recognised them while you were in the house?
Efe: I am very proud to be have been born and raised in Jos; we all know how Jos has blessed a lot of people in the Nigerian entertainment industry. I say it all the time that if I was born and raised in Warri, I won’t have been this disciplined. I spoke a lot of Pidgin English in the house but don’t be deceived I also speak English very well.

PT: You have clearly become an overnight sensation. Have you been told that so many Nigerian celebrities threw their weight behind you while you were in the Big brother House?
Efe: I am so grateful to a lot of people including Governor Okowa of Delta State. I heard he threw his weight behind me. I was also told that comedian; I Go Dye dropped N1 million for my campaign team. When I called him, he ended my call and called me back. We spoke for hours. I am also grateful to Ali Baba, Akpororo and so many Nigerian celebrities whom I had never met but stood behind me. I hear my family house in Warri can now be likened to a tourist centre because of the number of people who have thronged our home to congratulate my parents.

PT: Do you regret any of your actions in the house?
Efe: The only regret I have is drinking. I heard my mum is upset with me. So, I apologise to her for drinking so much in the BBNaija house.

PT: What will become of your affair with Mavis now that you are out of the Big Brother Naija house?
Efe: Based on logistics, what we had in the house was great, but she has a boyfriend. I was physically attracted to her and that was why I was close to her in the house.

PT: Are you hooked?
Efe: No I am single.

PT: But there is a picture of you and a certain lady in NYSC uniform making the round on social media. She is rumoured to be your fiancée.
Efe: No, it’s a photoshop

PT: Where will you be based now?
Efe: I relocated to Lagos in 2015. So, I will be based in Lagos.

PT: Will you consider a career in comedy?
Efe: No, I’m not a comedian. My life may be funny but I don’t think my stories are funny.

PT: So, what’s the next step for you?
Efe: It will be more about my music because music is my first love. I have realised that my brand is way bigger than music, so I will definitely explore different areas. If I receive any movie offer, the money must make sense. I don’t feel I know how to act and that was my biggest frustration in the Big Brother House.

PT: Do you have any songs to your credit?
Efe: Yes, I have an EP titled Lagos on ITunes, Amazon and Spotify.

PT: How do you intend to give back to your immediate community?
Efe: I love getting involved in things/projects that I am emotionally attached to. Growing up, potable water was very difficult to come by so I plan to erect a manual borehole in my immediate community in Jos and in Warri. I also hope to assist as much people as I can in the entertainment industry.

PT: Olamide tweeted that he will love to work on a music project with you.
Efe: I felt very grateful that Olamide Baddo reached out to me and promised to work with me. When I meet him, I will twale for him. Based on logistics, no be lie.

-SAYS. LG ELECTION WILL BE HELD IN SEPTEMBER

-THAT CONSENSUS WILL BE THE WATCHWORD IN IMO APC

-THERE ARE NOW FEDERAL PRESENCE IN IMO

Governor Rochas Okorocha has said that the local government election in the state will be held in September, 2017 and that before the time, the House of Assembly must have amended the local government law to make the tenure of chairmen and councilors three years instead of the two years it has been.

The governor made the disclosure when he interacted with Journalists in the state for about six hours on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Nigerian Union of Journalists’ (NUJ) Press Centre Owerri, adding that the court cases instituted by the PDP people over the local government administration had caused the delay in the conduct of the election.

The Monday parley at the NUJ Press Centre would be the second time the governor had gone to the centre for interaction with Journalists and in each case Journalists asked the governor all manner of questions without restruction.

His words, “we are going to have local government election in the state in the month of September. And the election will be conducted in such a way that people will not spend much and as a result wanting to win at all cost and getting back their money at all cost for something that is meant to serve the people”.

He continued, “The amount of money spent in running an election is what brings corruption in the system. This is what we are trying to change in Imo State and in our democracy. We want to bring our people together and as much as possible bring concensus candidates to reduce cost. We have one party in Imo State which is the APC and there is no division in it”.

The governor also explained that there are federal presence in the state at the moment, while more are expected adding that the Nigeria Army has taken over the General Hospital at Owerri West LGA, and the command schools in Okigwe, Orlu and Owerri, while the Navy has taken over the General Hospital at Ngor Okpala and the Maritime University at Oguta. The Airforce has taken charge of the hospital at Owerri North while the Police has taken over the hospital and the Police college at Ideato South”.

He said the International Cargo Airport, and the taking over of the Egbema Power Station by the federal government are all evidences that Imo would not complain of the absence of federal presence again in the state.

The governor who took his time to marshal out the monumental achievements of his administration in less than six years to the delight of the Journalists also said that “Judiciary has been so neglected all over Nigeria but we want to show example in Imo State as most of the magistrates and customary courts are in shanties. Government has declared state of emergency on judicial infrastructures. We are building an ultra modern high court complex called Justice Oputa High Court complex and before the end of the year, it will be completed. The High Court will be relocated to more befitting court complex than the bungalows they are now using”.

We are equally looking into their welfare and having discussions with them from time to time. We are equally looking at having children’s court, it is still been processed by the chief Judge”, he added.

The chairman of the Imo State Chapter of the NUJ, Sir Innocent Igwe in his remark, said the Journalists in the state would continue to appreciate Governor Okorocha for always making himself available to interact with the media practitioners in the state, adding that the Journalists would continue to appreciate him.

Facts have emerged how Fidelity Bank PLC shutdown Titanic View Hotel in Owerri, following what they described as the inability of the management of the said hotel to meet a debt obligation with the bank.

The bank had about two weeks ago sealed off Titanic View Hotel Owerri with armed police officers from Zone 9 Umuahia, throwing out about 350 workers from both Titanic View and Pretoria City hotels back into the labour market.

But our investigation indicates that the accusation of inability by Titanic View Hotel to meet its debt obligation was a ruse as the hotel was in no way indebted to the bank nor was it used as collateral.

Our source who craved anonymity said that the facts was that the owner of Titanic View Hotel Owerri, Mr. Ifeanyi Opara, who also owns Pretoria City Hotel had in 2011 secured some loan of N240M from the bank and used Pretoria City Hotel as collateral. This was after he had insured the Pretoria City Hotel with Standard Insurance PLC with N204M premium.

According to our source who said he was privy to the transactions, Fidelity Bank had brought the Standard Insurance PLC to ensure Pretoria City Hotel, because the bank is the broker to the insurance company. Our source added that the loan facility obtained with Pretoria City Hotel had been serviced regularly until the hotel was burnt.

Following the destruction of the hotel by fire and the laying off of the workers in 2015, our sources revealed to Ifeanyicy.com, that  Mr. Opara approached the bank as the broker for indemnity.

“When we approached the Bank for the indemnity for the hotel, the bank asked us to provide the required documents, including police report on the fire incidence, the Fire Service Report, the report from the surveyor and bill from two contractors for the rebuilding of burnt hotel. We provided all the documents required but the bank refused act on it”, said our source.

He added: “But since the bank refused to indemnify the hotel we took a legal action against the bank to compel them to indemnify us, and since the case was pending in court and the hotel was no longer generating revenue to service the loan for which it was used as collateral, we could not continue to service the loan, waiting for the matter to be disposed of at the court.”

Our source further revealed that in a shocking move, Fidelity Bank PLC abandoned the case at the State High Court Owerri and obtained an interim order from the Federal High Court in Owerri to close down the Titanic View Hotel, a hotel said not to have any business with the bank. The order was executed about two weeks ago with armed police men from Zone 9 Umuahia.

Further investigations revealed that the management of Titanic View had approached the Federal High Court to vacate the order since the affected hotel was not indebted to the bank nor was it used for collateral.

Our source also said that it was clear that the Federal High Court was deceived into granting the order, without knowing that the matter was pending at the state high court Owerri. He said that the hotel was hopeful of coming up again for business and recalling its workers who were laid off as a result of the unmitigated closure of the hotel.

Here is the Pathetic stories of players and officials of Enyimba Football Club of Aba who went to Katsina yesterday to honor a football match with Katsina United in the Nigerian Professional League.

That they were beaten 2-1 by their hosts (Katsina United) was not enough for them, for  after the match, the crowd became violent and attacked the players and officials, destroying their bus. Some of the players and officials got wounded.
Time for the Nigeria Football Federation to be alive to their responsibilities.

BBNaija Housemate winner, Efe will in months to come make hundreds of millions from corporate world, for throughout his stay in the reality TV show house , the Warri, Delta State born EFE introduced some catchy phrase that are today in the lips of every Nigeria.

While he awaits a mouth watering endorsement from Indomie and their likes (as En De hot), the more effective catchy phrase already adopted by the Nigeria President, Mohammadu Buhari, is "Based-on-Logistics".

In a recent short message released by the Spokesperson of the African populous Nation President, Garba Shehu, he told Nigerians that "Based on Logistics, PMB is committed to delivering on the 3 key areas that he promised ( Tackling Corruption, fixing the Economy and Security)."

The catchy phrase," based on Logistics" will earn big for Efe, especially from Logistic Companies that services Oil Companies.
