Drama as Corper who sought A selfie with Fayose gets Automatic employment (Photos)

Osamwonyi Bright Osas is a graduate of Political Science and Public Administration who is observing the mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) programme at the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti.

Luck came his way as he encountered Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose when the came to Ikere Ekiti for on the spot assessment of the third phase ongoing Ado/Ikere road dualization on Thursday 20th April, 2017.

Governor Fayose had finished the supervision and was on his way to his bus when Osas accosted him, "good afternoon Mr. Governor, I am a native of Edo, I relocated from Adamawa to Ekiti State because of my love for you, I follow everything you do religiously online, I love you so much and I pray God take you higher and higher. I graduated from UNIBEN with a first class in Political Science and Public Administration, one thing I pray thee Sir, please allow me snap with you Sir", Osas who was in NYSC outfit begged.

Without blinking an eyelid, the governor obliged and photographers did the needful. Immediately after this, the unusual happened, "go to the provost tomorrow, tell her I asked her to give you automatic employment", Mr. Fayose said.

Osas who was overwhelmed by the governor's gesture went on his kneels in appreciation, thanking God and governor Fayose for the favour. Speaking with newsmen after the encounter, Osas said "I am overwhelmed seeing the governor of Ekiti State today, he's an amiable leader and he is so down to service, when I was in school as an undergraduate I do read many of his speeches on what governance should be, on how to move Nigeria forward.

"I am in love with the fact that he's fearless, he discharges his duties without fear or favour, that is one of the qualities I cherish in him. I learnt from him that for you to rule successfully, you must appreciate the common man, he is a very good friend of the masses, seeing him come so close to the people inspires me, I was just coming from my CDS now and I saw him here, I was so happy and I said I must see him before he leaves and that was why I accosted him.

"I just thanked God for what happened now and I pray God bless him abundantly. He has just called the provost that I should be retained, that I should be given automatic employment, permanent employment, he called the provost and the provost said first thing on Monday I should come with my CV. I just want to appreciate governor Fayose."

Russia's Supreme Court bans Jehovah's Witnesses from operating in the country.

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia's Supreme Court on Thursday banned the Jehovah's Witnesses from operating anywhere in the country, accepting a request from the justice ministry that the religious organization be considered an extremist group.

The court ordered the closure of the group's Russia headquarters and its 395 local chapters, as well as the seizure of its property.

The Interfax news agency on Thursday quoted Justice Ministry attorney Svetlana Borisova in court as saying that the Jehovah's Witnesses pose a threat to Russians.

"They pose a threat to the rights of the citizens, public order and public security," she told the court.

Borisova also said the Jehovah's Witnesses' opposition to blood transfusions violates Russian health care laws.

The Jehovah's Witnesses claim more than 170,000 adherents in Russia. The group has come under increasing pressure over the past year, including a ban on distributing literature deemed to violate Russia's anti-extremism law.

PEACE CORPS WILL OPERATE WITH WORLD STANDARD AND WILL NOT CONFLICT FUNCTIONS OF SISTER ORGANISATIONS

A TELL TO ANTI-PEACE CORPS.

Let me use a nursery elaboration to explain this to those block headed antagonist whom still find it hard to understand that peace corps won't decent for cheap shared functions .

Fanta, coke and sprite are produced by same bottling companies with same test without fear of conflictions with pespi and merinda.

And Even at the small nature and quantity of cokes product, its sales, price and quality still overrides the big Pepsi bottle in the market. So calm down, its not by seniority but simple diplomacy.

The bird family are one in animal classification but work differently as some are meant to live on trees with wings, some float on water, while some lives with man and they never confront or conflicted themselves apart from the hungry hulks who goes around looking for unnecessary trouble by picking up innocent and peaceful chickens from the ground which isn't its base.

There won't be a confliction of works Among us because our designs are clearly different just as a Range rover sport jeep and a pickup vans are built for a different purpose but are both called cars.

just like cars are meant to run on the road while planes are to fly by air, trains run through the rail ways and boats sails through the sea but they all serves as a means of transportation but operates differently with appreciation and this is exactly the same way the Peace Corps will work with other sister organisations with same security objective but different means of operations with understanding and love, Moneke Leonard speaks .

No need to fear the existence of the Peacemen, they won't reduce other organisations strength, salaries or value. just like some cars depends on fuel while some depends on diesel as well as no moving cars can consume the fuel of a packed car which isn't attached to it .

And also is like sharing of candle light which can not reduce the light of a giver candle .

A candle gives out its last light when its about to fade off to a new candle in order to boost up visuals without conflict and this is what the Peace Corps stand, preaches and expect from other sister organisations who should see it as a helping hand to cover lapsed areas in National Security rather than attacking it.

No need to fear since all organisations are run by different leaders and commission, just like cars are run by different drivers with different driving knowledge and its drivers will determine the speed to drive and can never affect the driving pattern of the other driver. Nigerian security needs more than a particular or more than one method in curbing crimes.

No need to fear, we won't share same arms and uniform either since we don't much depend on arms as a diplomatic force which operations are totally different and on normal circumstance is ready to showcase better crime fighting ways than using same old method of other sisters oganisations .

No need to fear, the road and forest will contain us all without a crash on ourselves since we move in same roads but different times, roots, lane and order.

I mean no need for fear, you are on black belt while am a white belt bolder, so the colours are clear enough to differentiate us. You answer your name, we answer ours.

There is no big deal and need for fear since we are sisters under one Nigeria as a mother, we won't clash .

We can't be a threat to you since we are set up to protect same good interest which is the National Interest on peace and unity of the country .

We will always know our difference even though our organisation names begins with the letter "P", we still know our lines.

We won't have to demonstrate power because we speak of peace far from a distance you can't understand except you undergo our one month training despite your 6months training .

The peace corps will bring societal change, rest of mind and the nation will ones sleep again with closed eyes once we are announced .

How can there be a confliction of works when we are created on separate duties?

How can we fight over jurisdiction when we uphold different ideologies???

Drop the confrontation and grudges, let's work as an indivisible one in objective for the Peace and Development of the Nation.

OKOROCHA IS WORKING- IHEDIOHA

A former deputy speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha has finally confessed that his senior friend and the effective Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha is doing well in the area of infrastructural development and provision of basic amenities to the people of Imo State. In his words; "Imo has remained a construction site."
Chief Ihedioha who was a guest at the Leadership Lecture Series organized by the Community Watchdog Newspaper, where he was one of the guest speakers and Award recipient affirmed that the present government in the State has not let the people of the State down since it assumed office in 2011. Rt Hon. Ihedioha who is a chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party and was defeated by the incumbent governor in the 2015 governorship election in the State, has been commended by a cross section of Imolites who are impressed with the fact that a top opposition figure could affirm this reality, albeit, tactically. Other opposition leaders in the State are encouraged not to close their eyes to the many good works of the Governor.

Tragedy Hits Imo Community, Two Confirmed Dead in a ghastly Motor Accident (Photos)

It was gathered of a fatal motor accident which took place at Barr Onyema Junction by Orodo new road, Mbaitolu LGA, Imo State today Tuesday April 18th, 2017.

The tragic accident occurred between a salon Car (Avalon) with registration number Lagos KSF 290 DU and a Motorcycle carrying two people.

According to the driver, Mr Chima Uzoma from Ekwe, Isu LGA who was traveling from Owerri to Orlu, had an encounter with a vehicle, a black Siena car coming directly in opposite direction towards him as a result of dangerous over taking of a Highlander Jeep. The Avalon car driver swerved towards the right in other to dodge the vehicle but was hit by oncoming Car which made it lay across the Road.

Then the motorcycle with two people on it now hit the vehicle and the worst happened.

An eyewitness, Mr Nwadike Chikezie revealed that "this morning, along orodo new road, I was driving and saw an accident scene. Worried, I pulled by to observe more and see what help I can render.

On getting to the scene, I saw seriously wounded persons. One person was already dead on the spot, another person was lying critically down on the ground. People where running helter skelter. Motorist and other passerby where parking and rushing to the scene.

Though I was late to the scene , I quickly revised my car and offered it for immediate rescue service.
The breathing accident victim was rushed into the car and I zoomed off to the nearest hospital but he was rejected and advised to be taken to FMC.

At the FMC, Medical personnel were quickly alerted. They rushed out and checked his pulse. He was later confirmed dead.....TWO Dead.

His remains was later deposited at the Mortuary. On investigation, the names of the deceased are:
