Miss Jane Nnadozie, 23, from Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State and a graduate of History and International Affairs at the Imo State University, Owerri beat 19 other contestants to emerge the winner of Miss Asaigbo Beauty Queen for 2014/2015.

Queen Jane who signed under the management of DKC MODEL AGENCY in Owerri left an indelible mark when she said " It is NOT the crown on my head that makes me a Queen, but the BEAUTY of my heart"

The Nollywood actress/bride who is married to her heartthrob, a handsome young dude based in United States of America, Mr  Nnamdi John Ezurike shared her Pre-wedding photos on social media and wrote

The senator representing Imo East, Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, popularly known as Samdaddy, says that no amount of political pressure would make him contest for the the governorship position of Imo State in 2019.

Rather, the Senator promised to support any political movement that would see his senatorial district produce the next governor of the state in a two years time.

Speaking at the country home of, Chief Assams Victor, in the Ikeduru Local Government Area of the state during a "thank you"  ceremony for all the campaign directors and executives of the Samdaddy campaign Organization, the Imo Lawmaker said that the call for an Owerri zone governor in 2019 was a just cause.

Samdaddy said "I am not running for governor in 2019. I am not interested in it. But I will support every move that would make an Owerri zone person the next governor of the state. I would be glad that in my time as a senator, one of my constituents would emerge the next governor of Imo State ".

Samdaddy who is the chairman Senate committee on ethics, privileges and public petitions, averred that he is better off as a senator than aspiring to be a Governor, adding that his constituents did not make any mistake in sending him to the red chamber of the National Assembly.

The lawmaker specially commended Chief Victor for sponsoring the event in his house in his (Samdaddy)honour, promising that more dividends of democracy await the people of Owerri Zone.

Chief Victor said that he sponsored the program because he felt delighted that such politicians who were helpful in the processes that led to the emergence of Samdaddy as a senator of the Federal Republic.

The PDP chieftain maintained that Samdaddy had given his people a pragmatic voice in the Senate and the best way to encourage him was to thank the people who were instrumental to his electoral victory in 2015 .

The highlight of the occasion was the Commissioning of a new PDP ward secretariat and Samdaddy computer training center built by Chief Victor by the senator.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that Nigerians did not elect General Muhammadu Buhari to function as “Friday President”, adding that he (Buhari) was now acting more like a ceremonial and
part-time President.

The governor, who said he was glad that his constructive criticism was getting to the President and his handlers, noted that it was not enough for the President of a country like Nigeria to be seen in public only while attending Friday Jumat service at the Presidential Villa, videos of his activities should be made public too.

Speaking on Sunday, through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor said it was necessary for Nigerians to be properly informed about the well-being of their president.

He accused some close allies of the President of deliberately shielding him and preventing him from attending to his health so as to continue to run the government on the basis of “Mr President has directed” even when the President did not direct anything.

“That’s why Nigerians are told every day that the President said this and that with the President neither speaking directly nor attending any official function. This is not good for the image of a country like Nigeria that is struggling to get out of economic recession,” the governor said.

Governor Fayose, who said by virtue of the his old age, the President could be susceptible to illness, advised that “President Buhari should rather be allowed to take proper care of his health while the Vice
President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo acts constitutionally as the president.

“However, it is doubtful if those cabals that are obviously running their own Presidency within President Buhari’s Presidency will allow him to take a long vacation, probably outside Nigeria to take care of himself.”

The governor insisted that Nigerians must hear the voice of their President and see him physically, not through surrogates or the cabal operating behind the scene.

“It is only when the President is seen and heard physically that Nigerians will believe that they are not being ruled by a part-time and ceremonial president, whose powers are being exercised on his behalf by some cabal,” he said.

Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA )mother company, the Africa Film Academy (AFA), is partnering the government of Imo State to train youths from the Eastern Nigerian state who desire a career in filmmaking.

The training which will be intensive, is scheduled to run from April 25 to May 10, 2017 in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
Ms. Peace Anyiam-Osigwe noted that facilitators will include Segun Arinze, Paul Obazele, Tony Anih among others.

The training which will cover script-writing, photography, editing, acting, cinematography, sound, lighting etc, will also witness the students produce short films that will give practical expression to what they will learn during the programme.
Venue for the training is My People's Hall, behind Villa Garden Hotel, New Owerri, Owerri, Imo State from the 25th of April to 10th of May.
