Adamu Muazu, former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says he finds it difficult to believe that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan accused him of conspiracy in the 2015 election.
In the book, ‘Against the Run of Play’, written by Segun Adeniyi, chairman of THISDAY editorial board, Jonathan alleged that Muazu worked against him in the election.
“I felt really betrayed by the result from some northern states. Perhaps for ethnic purposes, even security agents colluded with the opposition to come up with spurious results against me,” Jonathan said.
“What happened was very sad not for me as a person, but for our democracy. Take, for instance, the PDP national chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu. I believe he joined in the conspiracy against me. For reasons best known to him, he helped to sabotage the election in favour of the opposition.”
Reacting to the allegation in a post on his Facebook page on Thursday, Muazu expressed surprise that the former president could speak about him in such manner.
“Ordinarily, I  would have ignored the allegation that I betrayed President Jonathan and my party, but doing so could create the impression that I really did,” he said.
“I find it difficult to believe that President Jonathan would level such allegation against me. How can one betray himself?
“As the then national chairman of the PDP, I have been at the forefront of the presidential campaign train. Those who are insinuating that I betrayed President Jonathan and my party are being economical with the truth.
“In the face of abuse, insult and open ridicule by our friends and brothers we supported President Jonathan faithfully.
“In all sincerity, I gave my best and all to my party. Those who blame us for not delivering maximum votes to the former president in the north seem to have forgotten that it is the people who vote.‎”

According to source; Earlier today Emma (thursday 6.pm precisely), I went to Itam Park long distance bus terminus where i was expecting a parcel from Lagos.

On arrival I saw an unusual crowd and I decided to get close. Only to find this woman dead and laid beside the young shall grow bus which transported her to Uyo.

I was privileged to ask a co-passenger who boarded same vehicle with her from Lagos to Uyo.

She said the woman's husband brought her to the park alive to board the vehicle. And that He knew the woman wasn't very strong while embarking on the long journey. And had made arrangement with a pastor here in Uyo to pick her and commence prayers.

The woman arrived Uyo alive, stepped out of the vehicle, asked for her luggage to be given to her which the driver obliged. Seeing she was weak, they offered her a chair to sit while waiting for pick-up.. the next thing she fell off the chair and that was the end of her life here on earth.

Minutes later, The Pastor came but was told from a distance that the lady he just spoke with on phone is dead. The man took off and disappeared.

Everyone deserted her but the good Samaritan in me came alive and I decided not to leave her there just like others did. I had to put a call across to the Nigerian Police and they responded swiftly. they came to the scene but my joy was complete when a woman came around and identified the lady as Felicia.. she wept and said Edoh Eke Wod meaning (they married her to kill her)... she has been taken to the mortuary by the Nigerian Police.

Today, the Honourable member Representing Obowo, Ihitte Uboma and Ehime Mbano in the Federal House of Reps, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, was a special guest at the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion ) Ecclesiastical Province of Owerri, Diocese of Ideato, where he was a keynote speaker with the THEME.........what a friend we have in Jesus.

In his copious but captivating Keynote Address captioned.....JESUS CHRIST: A Sure Security In Turbulent Times, Honourable Deacon Chike Okafor, made it clear that at this period of turbulence where insecurity is ravaging the entire world, people should seek the face of Jesus Christ who is the Author of life, the truth and the only way out. He disclosed that the exemplary lifestyle of the saviour should be emulated and practiced as he remains the only one that can guaranteed security, peace and comfort to humanity.

They enter into agreements that are arduously negotiated over long, hard, tiresome weeks, months, and even years in some cases in search of some form of peace.

He cited a situation where United States is bothered about the growing might of North Korea, the challenges in Syria, the influence of Russia in abating or escalating a global fracas. He disclosed that the middle East is enmeshed in one of the worst struggles, while Africa is not any different as hunger, wars, economic and political upheavals, widespread corruption and terrorism among others did the landscape.

He recapped that the only solution to all these problems is seeking Jesus Christ, in the realization that with him there will be peace, safety and protection.
