********Set to dump coalition movement to pursue individual dreams.

Despite the Friday 18th May 2018 Court injunction stopping the coalition group from holding the State congress in Imo state on Saturday the 19th, they secretly conducted the Congress that same Friday.

It was gathered that the coalition group are hellbent in destroying the hard earned reputation of the only elected APC Governor in the South East His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha.

According to a source who pleaded anonymity to www.ameborave.com, "The Congress held yesterday in secret amidst rented crowd, and the coalition members are in hiding for carrying out illegal gathering". Also Hope Uzodimma, Jude Ejiogu, and Madumere are regretting their ordeal with Ararume. They have completely lost trust in him and wishes to purse their ambition individually".

Recall that the Imo Commissioner of Police have vowed to deal decisively with anyone that flouts the Court injunction. Ameborave Blog will continue keeping you updated as events unfolds as regards the APC congress in Imo.

The last may not have been heard in the ongoing rift in Imo APC where a group of the party faithful called Coalition Group and the State Government over the party congress.

On the 5th May 2018, the coalition group and its agents absconded with the Congress materials meant for the Ward and LGA Congresses in the State.

Recall that a week ago, the force headquarters paraded 4 suspects with Imo APC congress materials in a hotel located in the Nations capital territory.

Meanwhile, some party members loyal to Governor Okorocha have obtained an injunction stopping the Congress in the State.

- CONFIRMS THE NON-PROVISION OF THE SENSITIVE MATERIALS INCLUDING RESULT SHEETS

Report of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Imo State, on the Contentious Ward Congress of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State, on Saturday, May 5, 2018, has been released by the Commission, with the report clearly confirming the Contention that the sensitive materials including the result sheets, for the Congress were not provided.

The voluminous report signed by the Commission’s Administrative Secretary in the State, Barr. T.O.N Ongele also confirmed that the exercise was characterized “in its entirely with confusion and controversies as reported by the officers that monitored the Congress at the various Wards and Local Government Areas”.

On the conduct of the Congress, the report stated “the State Chairman of the Party, Chief Dr. Hillary Ekeh in his letter to the REC had indicated that the list of presiding officers, returning and electoral officers for the Congress in the various wards will be duly submitted to the REC’s office few hours before the election”.

The report continued “Given this, the Head of Election and Political Party monitoring had requested all the EOs to report at the State office at Owerri by 8.00am on Saturday morning to collect all the relevant details expected to be provided by the State Chairman as well as the checklist. At about 9.20am the REC put a call across to the Chairman of the Congress Committee, Chief Inibehe Okori, informing him that we were awaiting the list of contact persons.

“He confirmed that he was in a meeting with the governor and will get back to the REC as soon as he is through. When at 11.00am we did not receive the expected materials from either the State Chairman or the Chairman of the Congress Committee, the EOs were directed to dispatch their staff to the field and to proceed to their respective LGAs for monitoring” the report added.

The report further said “It is pertinent to state that the Ward Congress in its entirely was characterized with Confusion and Controversies as reported by the officers that monitored the Congress at the various wards and LGAs. At a point, we were told that the Congress Committee Panel that was posted to Imo State was swapped with that of Anambra State but no letter to that effect was received by the Resident Electoral Commissioner”.

The report continued “In some of the LGAs, the INEC monitors reported that result sheets were not provided for the Congresses and in some, electoral personnel were not seen. In some other instances, the INEC monitors were told on arrival that the Congress had been concluded. In some other LGAs there was no evidence that the Congress took place”.

The INEC report also contained reports from the individual Local Governments in the State. For instance, the Electoral officer for Mbaitoli LGA, Odilinye Mary Ngozi in her report dated 7/5/18, which she sent to the REC through the Administrative Secretary wrote “sequel to the directive given by the Department of Election and Party monitoring to monitor the Ward Congress of APC at the 12 wards in Mbaitoli LGA scheduled to hold on 5th May, 2018, I thereby redeployed the Staff to the various venue of the Congress which was at each ward Party offices to monitor the exercise”.

She further stated in her report “the Staff on reaching to the different Party offices discovered that they were all locked up. The Electoral Officer called and asked them to move to Coalition Centres. A point should be made that no result sheets or names of Planning Committee members or list of nominated Candidates were issued. No document of any kind had been given”.

For Isiala Mbano LGA, the EO, Mr. Okike Emeka in his report Stated “The All Progressives Congress, (APC) Ward Congress scheduled to hold at the various wards in Isiala Mbano LGA on the 5th May 2018, was marred with Controversies as reported by our Staff that were at the various venues to monitor the 12 Wards in the LGA during the Congress. There was no fixed time for the Congress and this left most people in the dark”.

He continued “We were told that from our letter that the Congress will take place at various ward Party offices, but the pictorial evidences showed that most party offices were under lock and keys. I wish to reiterate that internal democracy is the backbone of real democracy. Political Parties should always strive to play by the rule of the game and should try and resolve their differences before going for Congresses or elections as the case may be”.

......DEMANDS FOR THE IMMEDIATE REMOVAL OF SEN OSITA IZUNASO, APC NATIONAL ORGANIZING SECRETARY.

Nigerian youths under the auspices of Democratic Youth Congress for PMB 2019 gallantly shut down the National Secretariat of the APC to press home their demands for the immediate removal of Sen. Osita Izunaso, the purported National Organizing Secretary of the APC.

This patriotic call was championed by the National Chairman of DYC, Hon. Kassim Muhammad Kassim, Member, Nasarawa State House of Assembly over the shenanigan, abuse of office, cluelessness, highhandedness and despotic tendencies of Izunaso which has generated tension, confusion and acrimony amongst Party loyalists across almost 28 States of the federation during the recently concluded Ward and LGCS Congresses in some states.

The most annoying show of shame displayed by Sen. Izunaso is that of Imo State where he committed lots of atrocities by preventing the Imolites of APC extraction from electing their Ward Exco. Out of desperation and selfish interest, he sat in a hotel alongside his co-travellers, hurriedly cooked results and sent to the National Secretariat that Ward Congresses took place in Imo State whereas there was nothing like that.

His actions and that of his co-conspirators is a calculated attempt to frustrate Rochas Okorocha out of the Party and possibly prepare grounds for the humiliation of Baba Buhari in the forthcoming 2019 polls in Imo State in particular and the South Eastern States in general.

Where was Sen. Osita when Rochas led the APGA faction for the formation of APC?
Where was Sen Izunaso when Okorocha nurtured APC from infancy till date in the South East?

As stakeholders in the Party, we can't fold our hands and watch this kind of malicious brigandage been perpetrated against the SENIOR STAKEHOLDERS of APC. We have taken over the secretariat and we shall not move an inch until Osita is removed from office and new date is fixed for Imo State Ward and LGA Congresses.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Director-General,

Popular lawyer and activist, Anthony Chyma, has fired back at the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, for describing Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, as “being malicious and unfair to the NWC”.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) has warned the governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, against transferring his mismanagement relationship with his people to the party’s national leadership.

Abdullahi had accused the governor of being malicious and frustrated. “With due respect, Governor Okorocha is being malicious and unfair to the NWC. If he has mismanaged his relationship with his own people, in a way that they now constitute an encumbrance to him, he should not transfer his frustration to the NWC,” Bolaji had said.
Reacting, however, Chyma said Bolaji’s statement was most uncharitable considering the contribution of Governor Okorocha to the APC.

Briefing journalists yesterday in his office in Abuja, Chyma said the vituperation of the spokesman on the executive governor of Imo State was totally uncalled for and not deserving of the role of a National Publicity Secretary of a governing party.

“As a publicity secretary of the party, he should have come by way of amenable statement and not aggravating the situation.

“Rochas Okorocha, is the current governor and has all the information on issues bedevilling the party.
“It amounts to bias to castigate the governor in such a manner and leaves the party open to unnecessary bashing.

“It does not speak well of the office of the national publicity secretary and generally the entire party. His bias as a national officer is tantamount to hard sell,” he said. Chyma further stated that it’s shocking to hear the image maker of the APC resort to tarnishing the image which he should be protecting.

The lawyer reminded the APC spokesman that Governor Okorocha’s claim of no ward congress held in Imo State on May 5 has been vindicated by the Nigeria Police Force who recently paraded four suspects arrested in an Abuja hotel who allegedly stole APC ward congress materials meant for Imo State.

He said the police investigation has also revealed a link to a serving Senator from Imo State as 68 numbers of APC ward congress results sheets, 6 numbers of APC LGA results sheets, 6 LGAs officers and delegates list and 130 APC delegates nomination forms were displayed as items recovered from the suspects.

He insisted that by the actions of the police, the Imo State governor has been vindicated that no congress took place in Imo State. He urged the APC leadership to heed the side of truth and equity.

A member of the Board of Trustee in the ruling All Progressive Congress Jasper Azuatalam who was invited for a participatory program of Channels TV called SUNRISE DAILY actually came to the program with a note written by his coalition group to help his outing.

Unfortunately for him, Jasper was paired with an experienced Lawmaker cum a good Orator who mesmerised him and kept him in a balance.

A source close to www.ameborave.com who pleaded anonymity posited that the coalition group told Azuatalam to dish the watching public with lies that look real but unfortunately for him, the revered Lawmaker lashed on the BOT member so much so that he forgot the script he came to the program with.

Ameborave.com learnt that the coalition group have come out to deny Azuatalam and his outing as he was overwhelmed by the oratory prowess of Deacon Chike Okafor.
