-SAYS AFRICA CAN ONLY SECURE ITS FUTURE THROUGH EDUCATION

Wife of the President of Republic of Guinea, Hajia Djene Kaba Conde has said that every patriotic African should think about the future of the continent and that the only way to guarantee a prosperous future for the continent is by nations and individuals with the wherewithal to invest heavily in education.

The visiting First Lady made the remark when she visited the Rochas Foundation College of Africa, to see the students of the College particularly students from her country, Guinea, adding that an educated nation or continent will quickly be transformed into a developed nation or continent.

Her words “I thank the president of the Rochas Foundation College for this wonderful initiative of educating the poor children of Africa. I received the letter to bring 5 of my children to study free in Rochas Foundation College through the First Lady of Nigeria Hajia Aisha Buhari who is a good friend and a sister. I didn’t hesitate because I understand the importance of education to our children and society at large”.

For her “The dream of the founder of Rochas Foundation is the dream of all great men from this continent but to the glory of God, Rochas has been able to fulfill this dream. He can now be linked to the PAN Africanist list with Kwame Nkruma, Julius Nyerere, Zik and so on, because of what he is doing for Africa and because he has joined the league of great men that worked for the Unity of Africa”.

According to her “An educated nation will obviously be transformed into a developed nation. These children will in a very short time be source of light to their different nations and Africa at large. Education as been offered in ROFOCA is the fastest means of developing the African nation”.

In her speech earlier, wife of Imo State Governor, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha told the visiting First Lady that the wife of the nation’s President Hajia Aisha Buhari is the matron of the College and one of the driving forces behind the school and its rapid growth within the very short period of its establishment.

She said “The African Continent has hope for its future generation and it is our collective duty to see to the actualization of this hope, hence, the creation of Rochas Foundation College of Africa. The time has come for Africa to take its pride of place in the universe and ROFOCA is a veritable tool to drive this dream by developing great children of Africa through education.”

She told Mrs. Conde “Your Excellency, it may interest you to know that Her Excellency, Aisha Buhari has thrown her full support behind the growth of this College. She is the matron of the school and one of the driving forces behind the institution. She helped in bringing the 5 children each from the 55 nations of Africa. She is excited to know that you are here to see how your children are faring”.

She added “Looking at your face, we have no doubt that you are satisfied. I thank you for the trust you have in us by releasing 5 indigent children to us to train as future leaders of our continent and we are hopeful that you will still send another five by the beginning of next session.”

The Ngor Okpala LGA headquarters was agog today with supporters of the APC, members and leaders of the party alike. All of whom thronged out to reiterate their support for the Rescue Mission Government led by His Excellency, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha, at a meeting convened by the Commissioner for Labour and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Blessing Nwammerenini and other leaders of the party in the LGA.

Leaders of the party took turns to speak to the crowd of sincere supporters, affirming the indivisibility of the party, whilst debunking the treachrous compromise of a few elements as not being representative of the people's aspiration. In what can be described as a charge to duty, the Apex leader of the party in the LGA, Okenze S.I. Obinna, held everyone spellbound with his demagogic engagement.

He decried the wanton insincerity dotting the activities of some persons who are direct beneficiaries of the Rescue Mission Government. His admonition was simply sophisticated. In his "post master allegory", he described loyalty as a "stamp on an envelope". The stamp must never leave the envelope until they get to their proposed destination. Any attempt by the stamp to leave the envelope can only be self defeating to the stamp itself.

In his words; "Ngor Okpala has continued to benefit from the progressive feats of this government in sundry ways. We cannot afford to truncate this on-going train of development, that is why we are resolved on the continuity project of 2019. If we have accepted that Owelle is our leader and has done remarkably well for us as a people, we must trust his judgement on his succession plan. This is why I support, fully, the Ugwumba Uche Nwosu project. Anyone working for government and wants to work against this same government, must first resign. No General would love to die in battle by a friendly bullet."

Recall that Ngor Okpala had, through a heavily worded resolution submitted by her leaders, endorsed the aspiration of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu. Okenze Obinna reassured members and supporters of the party not to nurse any form of fear or disbelief, as the Ugwumba mandate is divine. Not even the momentary distractions of the coalition of "strange bird fellows" can change the course of fate. According to the political Iroko of the largest LGA in Imo State, "victory for Ugwumba Uche Nwosu is not just certain, but also definite in Ngor Okpala".

The member representing Ngor Okpala State Constituency and the Deputy Chief whip of the Imo State House of Assembly - Hon. Obinna Egu - took time to reel out some of the laudable infrastructural projects completed and ongoing within the LGA. He reminded all present that it was the Governor's unrivalled interest in Ngor Okpala that informed his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, in spite of being elected on the platform of the PDP. He joined other speakers to call for continuous support for the Rescue Mission Government and the Ugwumba mandate.

Also speaking at the event were the various Appointees of Government led by the Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI), Sir Eche George. The refined technocrat, without equivocation, lauded the Governor for his invaluable love for the people of Ngor Okpala, evident in the appointment of Sons and Daughters of the LGA in choice and strategic positions within the Rescue Mission Government right from the first tenure up to this moment. He thus stated that the Governor has shown utmost good faith which must naturally be rewarded with unwavering loyalty.

The robust grassroot support for the Ugwumba Uche Nwosu 2019 mandate ramains the envy of detractors who are working in futility to destabilize it. Today's outing confirms, beyond doubt, the acceptability of the Rescue Mission Government in Ngor Okpala and the readiness of Ngor Okpala APC to deliver according to their earlier resolution endorsing the Uche Nwosu project.

-THE FAKE STORY OF HIS JOINING APGA IS THE CREATION OF THE 10-MAN COALITION

Aside the concocted story of Governor Rochas Okorocha leaving All Progressives Congress, APC, for the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, trending on the social media, we have also been inundated with calls from media practitioners trying to confirm the authenticity or otherwise of the source-less tale.

Governor Okorocha is one of the principal founders of APC. And when he took the mainstream of APGA to join the merger that gave birth to APC, he was not under any pressure to do so. He even took that action at the risk of his second tenure.

He became the propeller of APC in Imo and the whole of South East. Mobilizing people for the party in Imo, Ebony, Abia, Enugu, and Anambra States. He was the rallying point. And he did that in the overall interest of the South-East and indeed, APC.

If Governor Okorocha did not take good percentage of APGA to APC, the party would not have had the kind of national spread it has till today. For that reason, they called him all sorts of derogatory names which Nigerians all know, including Alhaji in Government House, Okoro-Hausa, and Rochas Buhari.

When the APC came for campaign in 2015 in Imo and all the states in the South-East he was the point man. Today, APC has become the party to envy. Nobody is again talking about Rochas and Buhari going to use APC to Islamize the Igbos.

Today too, the same people who called him names have begun to market falsehood against him including the fake story of his leaving APC for APGA. All these could show the level of frustration on the side of the ten-man Coalition. They are been hunted by their inglorious actions.

One may also wish to know that while the unfounded story of the governor leaving APC is yet to dry, they have also come up with another funny one, that the governor is in coma. These people do not know God and of course they are afraid of both the present and the future.

They won’t be allowed to reap where they never sold. Their deceit will expire in no distant time. And no Landlord leaves his house for unfaithful tenants. The name Rochas is the fibre of APC in Imo and the whole of South-East.

And anybody who says it is not true should tell Nigerians why it is only in Imo you have APC governor, 24 out of the 27 House of Assembly members, three House of Representative members and one Senator, in the whole of South-East. Time will tell what happens in APC in Imo and the whole of South-East.

Governor Rochas Okorocha has hinted that his administration is to launch an empowerment venture to be christened “My People, My People Empowerment Programme”adding that the essence of the programme is to further reduce poverty in the State to its barest minimum.

The governor made the disclosure on Monday, May 21, 2018 while on inspection of some on-going Projects in Owerri and environs, stressing that in 2011 when he became governor, the poverty level in the state was 57%, but by 2017, the poverty level in the State has come down to 19%, courtesy of his administration.
He therefore explained that, My People, My People Empowerment Programmewould further reduce the poverty level to 5%, recalling that he had promised the people of the State that once the flight gets to a cruising level, that the captain will come out and merry with everyone.

He said, “This time around, we are going to remember the very poor people, poverty level is low in the State but we want to reduce it to the barest minimum. Traders and people who are trying to survive with goods less than 10,000 naira in their shops, forms will be brought out very soon and all that are interested for the empowerment will fill.”.

He further stated, “I will personally supervise the empowerment exercise which will be termed, my people, my people, empowerment. This will help some of our street traders to start a better life and we are targeting 50,000 people across the three zones of the state. This exercise will start between now and September. This will be my parting gift to Imo people”.

On the Urban Renewal Programme the governor stressed “For the landlords that have renovated their houses along Wethedral and Douglas Roads and those making effort to make the city clean, the government shall give them a special package in terms of some kinds of waiver, in property rates and other fees associated with buildings. We are more interested in giving the city a facelift to making more IGR”.
He added “We have also manufactured some special trucks for hawking. So those who are bent on hawking will no longer hawk carrying their goods on their heads. We have about 1,000 hawking carts with uniforms. We give to them and monitor how they use them so as to keep our environment clean.
