Sometime in 1996, Prince Eze Madumere while still based in Houston Texas, was arrested during a sting operation by Houston Law Enforcement for running an illegal theft ring/gang that specialized in stealing selling Gold and Gold related products.

He was arrested and tried in the District Court of Houston in 1996 (see attached document for the case number and other details). He was in a Houston jail for a few months and found guilty of Felony & Theft for property called >$15,000, he served some jail time and was later released and placed on a 5Yr community probation.

In his APC Governorship form he lied he had never been convicted. This is a big lie and a reason for automatic disqualification.

You should note, this criminal conviction was one of the reasons for his impeachment, but we did not release the documents then. We saved it for now.

It is true that the destination of secrecy is exposure. He actually paid $50,000 to hide this news from the press but alas.... It has been bursted.

All these and many more are the reasons for his impeachment.

Chidiebube Okeoma, Owerri.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State on Monday asked his impeached deputy, Eze Madumere; a former speaker of the state House of Assembly and serving senator, Benjamin Uwajumogu; his brother-in-law, Chuks Ololo; former secretaries to the state government, Jude Ejiogu and George Eche, to apologise to him to prevent misfortune in their political careers.

Okorocha who spoke during the swearing-in of new permanent secretaries and new secretary to the state government, chief of staff, and deputy chief of staff at Government House Owerri, accused politicians of betraying him.

He also questioned how Madumere, Ejiogu, Eche and Ololo got N22.5 m each to purchase the All Progressives Congress nomination and expression of interest forms for governorship, saying that they had no money before they served under his administration.

Okorocha said “Tell Madumere, Ejiogu, Ololo and Eche to come back and apologise to me before they crash. Tell them to come back so that I may bless them. They had no dime before they came into this government. How did they get the N22.5m to buy APC governorship forms?”

Speaking on other issues, Okorocha said his administration would finish very strong. He equally disclosed that his administration had mapped out N3.5bn to rebuild all the school blocks and roads across the 27 local government areas of the state.

Okorocha said, “This administration will finish well. It is the end that matters. I urge you to support Imo government. I will work in my last seven months like I worked in the last seven years. I will rebuild all secondary schools and roads in Imo State. We are just waiting for the rains to stop.

“We will complete all the road projects. Imo has too much money. Each community in Imo State will get N4m in our community project that will commence very soon. It will gulp N3.2 bn.

“My desire is to reduce poverty in Imo state to minimal level . Petty traders need support. It is called my people , my people empowerment. The empowerment will have six thousand beneficiaries.

I have a covenant with God and that is to help poor people. Most people have misunderstood my administration. I didn’t come for the rich; my administration is for poor people."

The governor urged the opposition to apply restraint in playing politics, even as he maintained that desperate politics must not be tolerated in the state.

He said, “Imo is our home. We have no other state than this . After politics, we will still have Imo as our state. I urge desperate politicians to stop causing disaffection in the polity. Stop using pulpits to discredit my government. Let us play politics like a beautiful game. Stop heating up the polity. I am available for abuses and insults. After politics, there is still Imo.”

The operatives of the Federal Special Anti - Robbery Squad of the Imo State police command have arrested the suspected killers of Rev Fr. Jude Egbom of St. Patrick’s Catholic church, Amucha, in the Njaba Local Government Area of the state.

Egbom was on Monday night along Nkwerre - Anara Road shot dead and his vehicle stolen.

Parading the suspects, Chigozie Uzoukwu 33, and Peter Ochokwu 21, on Thursday the state Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, said that the suspects were nabbed in Nkwerre on September 11.

The CP who decried the killing of the cleric said that no murderer will go unpunished.

Worried by the gruesome killing of the priest, Galadanchi disclosed that he activated the Tactical Units of the command to nab the fleeing criminals.

He stated that the efforts of the command paid off with the arrest of the two suspects, recovery of the priest’ s vehicle and bag.

The police boss informed that one of the suspects, Ochokwu, was an ex - convict who had spent one year in Owerri prison for alleged involvement in an armed robbery case.

Six people died on Sunday after drinking Jik in church. It is also reported that  four more are in critical condition and are currently in hospital, the Limpopo Herald reports.

The police in Limpopo are investigating an incident where people in Pastor Ruffus Phala’s church were made to drink Jik as a sign of having faith.

We don't know, but it seems our pastors now want to become God, or should we say tempt him? This is ridiculous and absurd. Please no one should try this Next time

Tragedy struck in Nkwerre, in the Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State on Monday after some gunmen killed a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Egbuom, and made away with his vehicle.

The gunmen were also said to have killed a youth who had yet to be identified. The man was reportedly with the priest in his vehicle when the hoodlums struck.

A native of the community told our correspondent on Tuesday that the priest was until his death the priest in charge of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Amucha, in the Njaba LGA of the state.

It was gathered that he hailed from Umuwala, a village in Nkwerre community.
Our correspondent learnt that the priest was attacked around 8pm on his way to a barber’s on Anara-Nkwerre Road in Nkwerre town.

He was said to have resisted handing over his car key to the hoodlums.
The cleric was reportedly shot along with the other victim in his vehicle, while the criminals fled.

The source said, “The circumstances surrounding the killing of the priest indicated that it was a case of armed robbery.

“It could not have been a case of assassination because the gentle priest did not offend anybody. He was from our community, Nkwerre, and was doing his missionary work at Njaba, a nearby LGA.”

The state police spokesperson, Andrew Enwerem, confirmed the killings , adding that the Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, had deployed tactical units of the command in the area.

He said, “The incident is confirmed. Rev. Fr. Jude Egbuom of St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Amucha, was killied last night (Monday).

“Another person whose identity has yet to be ascertained was also killed by the hoodlums. The priest was in his priestly regalia when they shot him dead.

“The hoodlums shot continuously into a mall housing a phone accessories shop and a barber’s. The priest was hit by the bullet. Two persons – the priest and another person whose identity could not be confirmed immediately – lost their lives. The hoodlums made away with the vehicle belonging to the slain cleric.

“It is important to note that the CP has responded immediately by deploying the tactical units of the command in the area. The CP has directed the officers to round up the killers immediately. We are on top of the situation.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar Friday wept at his Presidential Campaign Office shortly after obtaining his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) headquarters in Abuja.

Atiku who was filled with emotions while receiving the forms from the Atiku Support Groups (ASG) which purchased same for him, reiterated his commitment to the Nigerian cause, and promised to do everything possible not to disappoint Nigerians if given the opportunity.

Unable to overcome his emotions while a member of the ASG, Princess Adekemi Adesanya was painting in graphic details, the sorry state of affairs in the nation, the former Vice President fought back tears as he sobbed, whipping his eyes with the aid of a white handkerchief.

He said: “The event today (purchase of nomination form) is significant and historic because this is the only time in my political career that young men and women in this country have come together without my knowledge or even consent to contribute their own hard-earned money to buy me an Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.

“You could have seen that one of the ladies who spoke virtually succeeded in getting me to weep. This is because she aptly described the challenges every Nigerian is facing in this country today and she believed honestly and sincerely from the bottom of her heart that I could be an instrument of addressing those challenges.

“So, for such a woman to believe that I have got those leadership qualities and including those of you who have brought out your monies to by this form, is one of the most serious challenges I have ever faced in my political career.

“And believe me, addressing those challenges is possible because we have brought young men and women, Nigerians who have got the talents, who have got the education, who have got the experience, who have got all what it take to honestly turn this country around.”

Atiku also attributed the slow pace of development in the country to the failure to harness the creative energies of young people by successive administrations.
“Putting together such talented young Nigerians requires leadership and it is that leadership we have not been fortunate enough to have on a consistent basis that this country has not been able to take her rightful rightful position in Africa and indeed, the world,” he stressed.

That said, the Wazirin Adamawa eulogised former Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarters, General Shehu Musa Yar’ Adua (of blessed memory) on whose feet, he learnt the rudiments of partisan politics.

His words: “The man who actually brought me into politics, the late Shehu Yar’dua, when he invited me as a young man told us to break the regional siege that every parts of this country had been subjected to.

“He asked us reach out to every Nigerian across the Niger. To him and for him, that was a major objective; so when he died and I decided to build the Yar’ Adua centre in his memory, we got an architect to design the uncompleted bridge.

“The significance of that bridge was that we had started building bridges of understanding and unity across this country and unfortunately, the man who started building that bridge died. I wish I could complete building that bridge.

He thanked his supporters, and assured them of his commitment to job creation if voted into office as President even as urged them to accompany him to Wadata Plaza for the submission of the forms.

“On that day (submission of forms), let us overwhelm the PDP secretariat, let us bring Abuja to a stand still. I bet you by the time we overwhelm the secretariat and bring Abuja to a stand still, the PDP will have no alternative than to give us the ticket,” he added.
