Today at the plenary, Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife moved a motion of Urgent Public Importance On The Attack On Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah And The Gruesome Murder Of His Aides.

The Senator came under POINT OF ORDER 41 and 51 of the Senate and moved for the leave of the Senate to present a matter of urgent public importance on the attack on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and the gruesome murder of his aides. 

The motion was seconded by Senator Albert Bassey (YPP Akwa Ibom State)..

Many Senators, including Senators Eyinnaya Abatine, Biodun Olujimi, Omo Agege, Obinna Ogba, Emmanuel Bwacha among others spoke on the attack and condemned it. The Senator President, 

The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan in his own contribution said, "I know what my friend and brother, Senator Ubah is passing through having survived an attempt on my life in 2008 in which I lost a police man attached to me . Every hand must be on deck to fish out the perpetrators of this dastardly act."

The Senate after the contributions by the members resolved to:

i. Observe a minute silence in honour of the victims that lost their lives in the unfortunate attack;

ii. Direct the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services and other relevant security agencies to carry out comprehensive investigations into the incident with a view to arresting and prosecuting the perpetrators; and 

iii. Mandate the Nigeria Police, Department of State Services and other relevant security agencies to report findings back to the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence as well as the Senate Committee on Police Affairs within two weeks.

Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife after the plenary also visited Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and consoled with him.

 -As UGWUMBA YOUTH MOVEMENT PARTNERS WITH DR. JONES AS THEIR CANDIDATE FOR IMO WEST SENATE 2023 

Over the weekend, One of the leading Youth Movement in Africa popularly known as UGWUMBA YOUTH MOVEMENT adopted Rt. Hon. Jones Onyereri Ph.D, as their consensus candidate for 2023 Imo West Senatorial District election.

Speaking during the adoption process, the National Coordinator of Ugwumba Youth Movement, Comr. Jeff Nwaoha, described Dr. Jones as a man of courage and good character. He described what played out in 2019 as it wasn't his time then but reassured Dr. Jones that 2023 is a very ripe time for him to serve Ndi Orlu Zone. 

Comr. Jeff, who converged the entire leadership of Ugwumba Youth Movement from Ward level to the LGA and State, stated unequivocally that they have been given the Mandate to Adopt Dr. Jones as their candidate, not just adopting him but to ensure that he is delivered in every polling unit in Orlu Zone. He said.

Speaking further and in affirmation, the LGA Coordinators, assured the Olile Anya Ndi Orlu Zone that their words, remains their bond. "We are going to deliver you in our various LGAs. The margin you used in winning your party's primary election will be a minor to compare with the margin you will use in winning the general election. We have sampled opinions and our results showed that you are the heartbeat of the good people of Orlu Zone and we are here to support you and our people to better orlu zone come 2023."

Responding, Dr. Jones, thanked Comr. Jeff Nwaoha in a special way and the entire leadership of Ugwumba Youth Movement, for confiding in him as the one that would bring back home the needed dividends of Democracy to ndi Orlu Zone as an oil bearing zone and the largest Senatorial District in Nigeria.

In his words, "Under my watch as the Senator of Ndi Orlu Zone, our youths shall no longer be given fish but shall learn and know how to fish by themselves. They shall be made self reliance and that I shall do and many for our youths. I promise not to disappoint Ndi Orlu Zone because they have given to me so much trust and I won't fail them".

The highlight of the Adoption was the Presentation and handover ceremony of Rt. Hon. Jones Onyereri Ph.D branded Aprons made for our market men and women in Orlu Zone.

Just as I have opined on several platforms both on print and electronic media; that nature has a way of rating and recording all we do as humans with pre-defined ways of publishing and rewarding such records at will without the dictates of mere mortals.

It is also a believable fact in line with our faith-based biblical doctrine, that any man born of a woman as God’s creation has pre-designed destiny and destination which cannot be altered by anyone except God himself as the author, finisher and perfecter of our faith.

So as for Sam Daddy, one can agree based on my above statements that he is a creation of God, with purposes and destiny accompanied with established route to his pre-designed destination BUT the question here is, what is the purpose, will and destination of this creation of God?

The ecclesiastical book of the holy bible as stated in chapter 3 vs 1-8 that there is a time to be born which we have seen the manifestation in the birth of Sam Daddy, it also said there is a time to also die which we have also witnessed the reality of this part from the death of several people we know including our loved ones, it also went further to assert that there is also a time to cry and another to laugh which we have in no doubt seen in the life of this personality tied to the apron of God’s will of perfect creation.

The above 4th paragraph captures my definition of life as a seasonal arrangement designed by God himself to glorify his name and supreme authority over the affairs of mere mortals like I and you yes i mean you.

From my findings as an investigative content writer, the revelations surrounding the conception and birth of Sam Daddy to his naming as SAMUEL with a native name of NNAEMEKA capped with ANYANWU as his surname, has both literary and spiritual connotations which clearly defines the purpose of his creation and gift to first his family, ndi amaimo and Ikeduru, Owerri senatorial zone and Imo as his state of origin, to the igbo race as an ethnic nationality, his friends and association with groups like the People’s Democratic Party and Nigeria as his country.

This Ikeduru born personality to me is a perfect definition of a tittle in Igbo land called ‘’Oputa Osu’’ meaning when he comes, things begin to happen and happening for good in the right senses of events. From his biblical 3x name calling in the holy book to his eventful birth. From his school days social activities to his indelible footprints as a former Ikeduru Council Boss, from his visible and responsive representation as a law maker representing the good people of Ikeduru state constituency at the IMHA from where we all witnessed his eloquent legislative prowess on the floor of the 8th National assembly as the senator representing the Imo East senatorial district and ndi igbo nation.

His entrance into the governorship race of imo state in 2019 was not only electrifying but spiritual going by his campaign song of ‘’Chim ama nda’’ and a heavenly slogan of ‘’it shall end in praise’’ sealed with an intermittent choruses and responses of ‘’Say Sam Daddy… Yes Sam Daddy’’, it was indeed a reminder to everyone that Sam Daddy is actually a gift to humanity.

The most recent was his carnival-like civic reception on the 23rd of February after his election into the National Working Committee of the largest party in Africa the People’s Democratic Party as the chief scribe which came unopposed with both friends and foes endorsing his nomination knowing what his inclusion into PDP NWC will bring and just as destined of him, the PDP has become the party of choice while the APC is crumbling without signs of survival and life before the 2023 elections.

Seeing from the above that the purpose and will of God for this ever smiling and likeable personality is LEADERSHIP, now the question on the lips of the public is.... WHAT NEXT FOR HIM?

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State has called on the citizens of the state to sack the APC-led administration of Senator Hope Uzodinma for reversing the development of the state.

The party made the call through its new Publicity Secretary, Collins Opurozor, during a chat with media practitioners on Friday in Owerri, Imo State capital.

The opposition party said the primary reason for political governance is the security of lives and property.

The party said, ” This is what separates the political state from the state of nature where life is nasty, solitary, poor and short. It is also the irreducible minimum that the 1999 Constitution mandates the government to do.

“Yet, the APC-led regime in the state cannot provide security for Imo people. Bloodbath is now a daily fact of life here in Imo. In view of the festering insecurity in most parts of the Orlu Zone, Imo State now has more internally displaced persons than Borno State.

He said,” To be clear, over eight hundred thousand persons have been displaced in the last two years, and this is larger than the entire populations of the Republics of Malta and Maldives put together.

“Today, Heartland Football Club which was revived by our Party while in power has been destroyed, and now the once glorious club suffers relegation. The 27 mini stadia which we built in the local areas have now been abandoned by this APC regime, even as they cannot account for over N160 billion that has accrued to the local government system.

“Every month, Imo State gets about N800,000 million as its share of the 13% Derivation Fund. This government has pocketed a total of N25.6 belonging to the oil-bearing areas without anything to show for it. Life in these communities is a clear example of how people can live in affliction even in the face of affluence. Recently, protesting youths from those communities came into Owerri in their thousands and barricaded the Owerri-Port Harcourt Road in an expression of their frustrations.

“Over 1,000 rural roads which our Rebuild Imo Administration brought under the Rural Access Mobility Projects (RAMP), were terminated by this wobbling regime. The vocational education centres we started were abandoned, and the NEWMAP erosion control projects we brought have been discontinued by them. Gully erosion is now threatening to wipe out very many communities in Imo State. Imo’s debt profile grows every day and has hit N210 billion, a debt burden that is larger than all the other Igbo states put together.

“Imo people should therefore shore up with the reality that the progress of the state now depends on the ouster of this failed APC regime at the polls next year.”

Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has confirmed her sexual relationship with General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman.

In a series of posts shared via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, September 18, 2022, the actress called out the pastor for allegedly paying bloggers to write demeaning stories about her.

“Every month only you. How do you sleep? You paid off the blogs, only you, God forbid. 

“Look for lies and send it to your bloggers. They need am,” she wrote.

“But you JS. You bought market Sule. 

“Emperor Sule. Allow me rest biko. Don’t fuck with me bro. Dude.”

The actress also revealed that the reason she had an affair with the pastor was that he told her he was separated.

“I fuck up yes. I own my mistakes. But I won’t lie anymore. 

“Nigga said he was separated. I didn’t meet a married man. 

“I met a businessman with three kids. 

“Long story, stay away from liars,” she revealed.

Abubakar has been in the news for months over her alleged relationship with the pastor.

At some point, she called out one of her colleagues, Shan George for denying not having an affair with the pastor.

Several female celebrities have been romantically linked to the pastor. However, some of these celebrities have come out to dispel the rumours.

Presently, there is no day that passes without mischief makers creating frivolous articles against Senator SamDaddy Anyanwu, the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The latest story tagged, “SamDaddy Is Out To Destroy PDP” was written by one Amby Uneze, am Mbaise son and kinsman to a two times PDP Governorship candidate, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha. Amby Uneze is also a strong supporter and fan of his brother who is also eyeing the PDP Guber ticket in the 2023 elections.

This is not the first article Amby Uneze has written against the PDP National Secretary, Senator SamDaddy Anyanwu and can never be the last. The truth of the matter is that, all these frivolous and empty stories against SamDaddy make him stronger, popular and draws more supporter to him.

However, while we encourage Amby Uneze and his likes to continue with their shadow chasing and mischief making, we had expected that such badly written articles against the National Scribe of the party they claim to members would have come from members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who are obviously our major enemies to fight.

Regrettably, such wicked, empty, diversionary and frivolous articles or stories are coming from supporters and kinsmen of a known desperate Governorship aspirant, who is indeed, a self acclaimed leader of the party in his own right.

It is shameful for a sane person to imagine or believe that a National Secretary of a political party as PDP can work against the platform he is a major beneficiary as a mole. This is the story Amby Uneze and their cohorts are struggling to paint not knowing that our party members are aware of those craftily destroying PDP In Imo.

What Amby Uneze and cohorts in the habit of creating fictional articles do not know is that Senator SamDaddy Anyanwu is more PDP than them and their sponsors.

Making uncomplimentary remarks or statements against the National Secretary of PDP, otherwise known as the engine room of the party, is like when one assume to be more catholic than the Pope. 

What we do not know is whether they are aware that Senator SamDaddy, as National Secretary of PDP is authorized by the party’s constitution to sign all documents, forms and its likes. Who else can do that if not Senator SamDaddy Anyanwu?

Amby Uneze, for the records of the public is a known rabble rouser who dabbles into various political issues when money is involved.

Amby Uneze is confused and does not know which direction to take. He claims to be Journalist yet, has remained unstable especially, during election year.

Amby Uneze, despite his little knowledge about Imo politics has allowed himself to be overwhelmed and beclouded with ethnic chauvinism, clannishness and primitivism to override his good sense judgement.

A situation where a person like Amby Uneze claiming to be a member of our party is bereft of the administrative organogram of the party has much to be desired.

We had observed their calmness some weeks ago until our National Secretary, Senator Sandaddy Anyanwu tenaciously and tactically inaugurated a council to ensure the victory of our party in the 2023 elections.

A feat Amby Uneze’s benefactor cannot achieve except his desperation to realize his selfish Governorship ambition. An ambition that has eluded him for two consecutive uninterrupted times at the detriment of our party and its members.

Our advise is that, Amby Uneze should please tell his sponsor to embark on issue based campaign and shun politics of vindictiveness, name calling/dropping, and greed. 

Until Amby Uneze’s sponsor applies all relevant principles of democracy and avoid wicked politicking and shadow chasing, our party can perhaps, give them attention if possible.
