Earlier today, a delegation from Imo State PDP Non-indigenes Committee headed by Chief Eddy Asiegbu were at the Secretariat of the Divine Mandate Movement.  Chief Asiegbu noted in his speech that they have come to identify with the campaign train of Divine Mandate Movement.

He also hinted that the People's Democratic Party, PDP is for everyone and not for only one man. According to him, "We all know what is happening in our party and this time around, we can never be relegated again".

The Director General of Divine Mandate Movement in his speech thanked the delegation of Non-indigenes Committee of the PDP for the courtesy visit and promised them that their good deeds in the party will never be forgotten.

The DG used the opportunity to dispel an Infantile news making rounds that he attacked the Imo State Chairman of PDP, Engr. Charles Ugwu. According to him, "I am not a thug. I have held so many positions politically in over 25 years without blemish. I and my team only went to see the Chairman of the party to tell him the need to allow all  aspirants a level playing ground as it concerns the Governorship primaries".

As Nigeria turns 62 years since Independence in 1960, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has berated President Muhammadu Buhari and APC led administration for failing to guarantee security to the citizens, adding that the situation is the reason why Nigerians live in fears and abject poverty.

Anyanwu, who is the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) notes that at 62, the country should have gone some steps ahead of other neighboring countries if the current government of APC in place is focused, organized and result oriented.

“Today, Nigerians are finding it difficult to feed once in a day, reason being, our leaders have resorted to be greedy, selfish and clannish in their policies. It’s unimaginable that our people today are becoming restive, hungry and jobless as a result of bad, corrosive and harsh policies. 

“At 62, the unemployment rate is over 40%, protection of lives and properties are at the owner’s risk, and food items in the market have gone up beyond the reach of an ordinary Nigerian”

Anyanwu stated this in his message to herald Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Anniversary.

He expresses worry that presently, the survival index of Nigerians are speedily on the decline, regretting that APC administration is doing nothing to rescue the country from imminent collapse.

“It’s pathetic, disturbing and regrettable that at 62, our country is still struggling to stand on its feet. It is worthy to note that some of the countries that gained independence together with our country have all succeeded in sustaining their economy; but today, Nigeria still relies on foreign loan, and crude oil importation without shame!”

The PDP National Scribe therefore call for total overhauling of the entire sectors of the economy, noting that to recapture Nigeria, the government of APC must be shown the way out.

While congratulating Nigerians for surviving the present inhuman administration in the country, Anyanwu enjoins them not to be deterred by the ongoing wanton killings across the country as a result of APC failure to address insecurity and banditry.

Anyanwu assures Nigerians a better and stable economy if APC government is voted out in the coming elections, and wished them happy 62nd independence anniversary.

Members of PDP Youth Vanguard have accused the Sokoto state Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal and a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha of sponsoring misleading newspaper publication against the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

The group made this revelation Thursday while briefing newsmen in Abuja, the Nigerian capital.

Speaking on behalf of his members, Barrister Olakunle Adefarasin said that Tambuwal and his long time friend, Ihedioha had used the publication to pitch NWC members against each other.

He noted that the duo had earlier used one of their Aides, Madu Chinemerem to raise an unfounded alarm that some members of the PDP NWC were paid huge sum of money to work against the party’s Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

According to Barrister Olakunle, PDP Youth Vanguard views such misleading alarm and publication against PDP NWC as unfounded, uncalled for and baseless, adding that the motive behind the accusation by Tambuwal and Ihedioha was to exhibit an undue pretentious closeness and love to the PDP Presidential candidate.

“It’s regrettable and unwholesome to inform Nigerians that Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal and Emeka Ihedioha are behind this false and misleading publication against members of PDP National Working Committee (NWC). The truth is that both Tambuwal and Ihedioha, including their conspirators are aware that leaders of our party do contribute money for the upkeep of the party.”

“Such monies realized are allocated to party officials and staff as housing allowances and other relevant purposes. It therefore smacks of wickedness, pettiness and deceit for Tambuwal and Ihedioha to mislead the general public that such constitutional rights to party officials amount to bribery. The allegation is only targeted at embarrassing our party and its officials, and we take exception to this level of trickery and unfairness”

“Our regret is that few days ago, one Madu Chinemerem, suspected to be an Aide to Ihedioha purportedly raised an unfounded alarm that some members of NWC were paid huge amount of money through a National Vice Chairman of the Party. Since his alarm, our party’s internal dealings have become a subject of public discourse which is unhealthy to our chances of delivery now that the ban on campaigns have been lifted”

PDP Youth Vanguard further expresses disappointment that having known the workings and activities of the party as it concerns the welfare of its officials, Tambuwal and Ihedioha still went ahead to peddle such weighty falsehood with a view to creating confusion amongst party leaders.

The group therefore frowned at the party members who were in the habit of hiding under available opportunities to attack its leadership through sponsored Newspaper publications, adding that such mischief is currently creating undue tension in the party.

The group called on the leadership of the party to immediately suspend the duo for dragging PDP to public ridicule in a bid to satisfy their selfish political desires.

“The ban on campaigns had been lifted, our focus should be how best to market the party candidates to enable them win the general election particularly, the PDP Presidential election in 2023.”

In line with consolidation which involves periodic engagements, on Saturday, 24th September 2022 the members of Rescue Mission Political Family, Ehime-Mbano Chapter gathered to chart the way forward towards the 2023 General Election.

Addressing the meeting, the convener, Hon. Emma Bukar, former Commissioner for Science and Technology, Imo State Government noted that one of the essences of the meeting was to position the family in a better political direction.

He reiterated the fact that Rescue Mission is a well-coordinated Political Family with a wide range of political influence within and outside Ehime-Mbano LGA and has the mandate to ensure and enthrone quality leaders for good governance.

To this end, for Ehime -Mbano LGA House of Assembly Seat, Hon. Kelechi Iwueze, the candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance ( APGA ), a member of Rescue Mission Political Family was unanimously ADOPTED.

According to information gathered, , it was stated that the reason for the adoption was  because Hon. Kelechi Iwueze has being a member of Rescue Mission Political Family and has served creditably in various capacities politically in Imo State and having shown the capacity to handle higher responsibilities. 

Responding, Hon. Kelechi Iwueze thanked the Leadership and entire members of Rescue Mission Family, Ehime-Mbano LGA for finding him worthy to take-up this onerous task of representing the good people of Ehime-Mbano LGA at Imo State House of Assembly.

Hon. Iwueze assured them of his resolve never to let them down once he emerges as the next House of Assembly member to represent Ehime-Mbano LGA come 2023 Election.

The enclave called South East is 100% occupied by the Igbo, who share common affinity, religion, culture and tradition.

Record has it that before the civil war broke out, Ndigbo were the only major ethnic group in Nigeria that held the economic strength and future of the country. However, the tribe produced and manufactured virtually everything the citizens of the country were using internally.

The people called, Ndigbo are business oriented who made remarkable impact in the development and growth of the nation. The salient point to be noted is that, throughout Nigeria, no community, Local Government, state or region can develop without the major input by NdIgbo.

These crop of individuals in the South East are detribalized, patriotic and nationalistic in every issues concerning the Nigerian enclave. They are displaying genuine love for the nation than those benefiting from its natural resources.

Regrettably, the zone despite its contribution to nation building since independence in 1960, has suffered high level of betrayal, stabbing, marginalization and political humiliation.

The most annoying part of the whole scenario to justify the obvious hatred of the Igbo was reflected by President Muhammadu Buhari in his appointments and other power sharing under his leadership.

Similarly, President Buhari, in his imagination and consternation described Ndigbo as a DOT in a circle. By this, political analysts say that Mr President does not see anything important in them nor take them as threat to his party’s political life wire.

What Mr President failed to understand is that for the entire Igbo nation to occupy over 35% of the total population of the country, it is enough to see Ndigbo as full CIRCLE rather than a DOT.

Our consolation is not that Mr President and his APC hate Ndigbo in no small measure, but our hope is that there are still some of our leaders who still believe that the Igbo race is indispensable. Such leaders include but not limited to Senator Samuel Anyanwu who without delay dispelled the attribute of Mr President against Ndigbo. The Igboness in him is not in doubt, hence the sponsorship of South East Development Commission (SEDC) Bill.

In his power sharing and allocation of appointments, Mr President has not hidden his hatred and glaring marginalization of Ndigbo who had without grudge, stood their ground for his emergence in 2015.

If Mr President, as the father of the nation could openly call Ndigbo a DOT, what the APC and its leaders are doing in the secret to totally erase the tribe is what only God can see.

Nigeria is made up of six regions with Ndigbo, Hausa and Yoruba taken the front seat as the majority. The question is, if the Igbo are one of the major ethnic groups in Nigeria, why then would Mr President continues to show that he does not love them nor consider them qualified to hold unto sensitive positions in his government?

The truth of the matter is that despite the threat and uncountable insults on Ndigbo, their resolute quest to develop Nigeria has never been deterred, wane nor reduced.

This is how to know those that love their country. It is wrong that those claiming ownership of the country do not have any stake in Nigeria. Reason be that for one to be a stakeholder, such person must have a stake 

Glaringly speaking, the worth of businesses of Ndigbo across the nation is more than 50 trillion. This is because, an average Igbo person sees his immediate environment whether in the North, South, West and East as where he should be part of for its development.

To conclude, it is an aberration, disgraceful and total insult on Ndigbo that after their steadfastness, commitment, dedication, investment and obedient to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, those expected to reciprocate the gesture are obviously showing signs of distrust, staving, and ingratitude to their wellbeing.

Until the interest of Ndigbo and their environs are respected and acknowledged to be indispensable to nation building, the myriads of the nation problems occasioned by insecurity, corruption, economic sabotage and administrative incompetence will continue to elude Nigeria.

By so doing, we shall be expecting Imo and Nigeria of our collective dreams!

High Chief Mike Duru-Ejiogu said that youths at all levels should shun acts inimical to their progress and development in life. 

The man of the moment maintained that the youths should shun short cut to success and believe in their ability to change their destiny in life. 

No one is born poor but your ability to change your mindset and develop the right attitude which in turn leads to success and wealth.

He said that God created every human being in his own image and likeness. In order words, the youths are special and wonderfully created to add value to the society. The Youths should be made to understand that God deposited something special and wonderful which only the wise can see and feel.

The community leader has cautioned and kicked against the upsurge and high rate of crime in the society, attributing it to the youths of the country who thinks that the only road to success comes through crime and other social vices. 

Therefore, the short cut to success will equally lead to destruction if one do not take precautions and avoid those companies capable of leading you to destruction and early death.

The new face of Anara acient kingdom highlighted that being under pressure to make money can lead the youths into doing evil things just to make money and regarded as a big boy before the society.

"I am living witness of what God can do in a man's life and this is the more reason I have used myself as a case study knowing fully well that one of the reasons he left Lagos and moved down to Abuja is to avoid being under pressure to make it in life as everyone was in a haste there in Lagos to make it big".

High Chief Mike Duru-Ejiogu has taken the bull by the horns to contribute his quota to making Nigerian youths greats again. "Who said you can't leave your present environment to a new one?

"According to him", the challenges of "Mr. A have made it and Mr. B have made it also without even knowing the source or how they made it, is one of the things that pushes young men into money ritual Killings, kidnapping, Yahoo plus and unimaginable crimes just to make quick money and die young". The likes of High Chief Mike Duru-Ejiogu should be applauded and given opportunity to administer in the affairs of the Nigerian youths and I bet you, no one will talk or complain about insecurity and other Social vices that limiting the progress of the youths.

Chief Mike Duru-Ejiogu has no doubt shown that he knows how to reduce the crime rate and get youths back to reasoning again. 

This singular demonstrated of love and ability to change the mindset and reasoning has made me to develop a special love for High Chief Mike Duru-Ejiogu and respect for his person.

If a private individual like High Chief Mike Duru-Ejiogu can have a good number of the youths under his monthly Pay-Roll today just to ensure that they stop crime and criminality. What about the government?

This man of so many part has challenged leaders to imbibe the spirit of restoring the lost values in the youths by not using the youths as thugs during the forthcoming general election.

Our youths should be shown the road that leads to success and not to use them as willing tool to ferment troubles.
