... goes after LGA party Chairmen

.... encouraging witch-hunt

Despite the reprimand by the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP after illegally contriving a purported list of the Imo PDP Presidential Campaign Council and Management Committee list in the state even while the State Working Committee of Imo PDP had been summoned alongside other stakeholders of the party to Abuja on Tuesday to respond to several petitions bothering on Misappropriation of funds and disregard on party's constitution in taking critical decisions, the Engr Charles Ugwu led exco on Friday commenced witch-hunt on some LGA Chairmen not loyal to Ihedioha.

A source who do not want his name on print confided in our reporter that the content of the purported resolution of suspending the Ikeduru LGA Chairman of the party, Mr Geoffrey Ihetuge and his vice, Godson Okereke were unknown to the signatories as they were invited for a breakfast meeting at the residence of a leader in the LGA and were asked to write their names and append signatures in the attendance list provided.

Continuing, the source disclosed that no agenda was discussed at the meeting as they were given transport fare after a light refreshment.

Meanwhile, when attention of some of the signatories to the purported suspension circulated across media platforms of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP caution was thrown to the wind as they expressed shock and disappointment.

It was learnt that majority of the signatories are working against the PDP in Ikeduru LGA as they are core loyalists of the House of Representatives candidate of APGA, Hon Henry Nwawuba a former PDP federal lawmaker.

Also, further investigation revealed that most Ward Chairmen in Ikeduru LGA no longer convene meetings in their respective wards on instruction by a leader in the LGA and an ardent Ihedioha foot soldier.

In a telephone interview with a leader of PDP in Ikeduru LGA, Chief Nnanna Anumihe disclosed that the purported suspension of the Chairman and vice Chairman of the party in the area was a figment of imagination of some disgruntled members of the party who are hellbent on creating division in the party. I advised party faithful and supporters in the area to remain calm and law abiding and as well disregard the said suspension. The trending suspension notice is a script and we already know those behind it. Critical leaders of the party in the area are on it and I assure you that the suspension will end up in the social media where it emanated from, he said.

- say, "we will make public audio clip of our private meeting with Ihedioha, Charles Ugwu"

The is uneasy calm in the camp of the sacked Imo illegally declared governor, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, NewsGazzete can authoritatively confirm.

Information reaching our correspondent in Owerri revealed that over 17 LGA party Chairmen in the state are spoiling for war as they have threatened to make public audio clips of their private meeting with Chief Emeka Ihedioha.

According to spokesperson of the group ( Forum of Imo PDP LGA Chairmen), who do not want his name on print, disclosed " we are ever ready to address the media regarding the misappropriation of funds sent to Imo PDP state working committee by the NWC as proceeds from the sale of the party's nomination forms in the recently conducted primaries.

"Few months after Inauguration of our son, Sen Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the forum of Imo PDP LGA Chairmen visited him on solidarity thereafter we got information that the NWC had earlier credited percentages of proceeds from the sale of party nomination forms to the Imo PDP SWC. This led to our visiting Engr Charles Ugwu, our state chairman.

Continuing, the source revealed that the Engr Charles Ugwu led SWC diverted funds meant for the party as it was expected that the proceeds from the NWC should be shared amongst the state executive committee as well as Ward structure of the party, instead, Ugwu carefully selected few loyalists within his control and approved funds for them.

While the forum of SWC assistants got a wind of the information paid a visit to Ihedioha who directed that each of the state assistants be paid 300k which was carried out by the SWC.

"Some weeks after, the forum of Imo PDP LGA Chairmen visited the residence of Emeka Ihedioha to lodge our complaints instead he threatened to order party ward Chairmen and their executives to suspend us from from the party.

"We have audio clips of our meeting with Engr Charles Ugwu where he made threat at any LGA chairman that declines support for Emeka Ihedioha adding that his emergence as party was influenced by Ihedioha.

All we are asking for is proceeds and percentages from the sale of nomination forms during the party primaries sent to Imo PDP by the NWC, no more no less, the source revealed.

Imo PDP SWC Should Be Dissolved If They Fail To Account For Sales From Party's Nomination Forms

Owerri Forum of Imo PDP LGA Party Chairmen has given clarification to news trending on social media where it was alleged they petitioned the National Working Committee, NWC of the party to dissolve the State Working Committee, SWC led by Engr Charles Ugwu, NewsGazzete gathered.

In an interview with select journalists on Friday disclosed that the forum of Imo PDP LGA Chairmen said that they petitioned the National Working Committee requesting for clarification on the funds as well as percentages from money realized from sales of party nomination forms months after the primaries which the Imo PDP SWC had tactically avoided even after several attempts made by the State Executive Committee of the party in the state.

They further stated that such funds when reconciled, percentages are shared to the various organs of the party ranging from the SWC to LGAs and to the political wards.

But to our surprise, " based on investigation, over fourty percent of the funds sent to Imo SWC based on records from the NWC were voted unilaterally and credited to Ihedioha Reelection Movement, an immediate Campaign structure of Chief Emeka Ihedioha to project his Governorship aspiration, while the chunk of sixty percent were shared amongst few members of the SWC of the party.

The party Chairmen insisted that the SWC should stop deceiving Imolites while advising them to make themselves available at the Wadata Plaza on Tuesday next week to give clarifications on the complaints raised by members of the State Executive Committee of the party through forum of Imo PDP LGA Chairmen.

"We seize this opportunity to notify the reading public that our prayers to the NWC of our great party is for the Engr Charles Ugwu led Imo PDP SWC to declare the exact amount of percentages of funds credited to Imo PDP account as well as total amount of donations made by party leaders and aspirants in the course of the party's primaries electioneering campaigns instead of calling for signatories of unknown party members as well as concoting emergency resolution/vote of confidence for an indicted Imo PDP state working committee, they stated.

- Gather Women and Ihedioha's Reelection Movement Team To Write And Sign Resolution For His Boss

- Engr Charles Ugwu Is Said To Be Under Oath - Party Chieftain

The Imo PDP State Chairman, Engr Charles Ugwu is said to be under oath with his boss, former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha as he is still recalcitrant to the directives and order by the National Working Committee of the PDP to stand down issues on the Presidential Campaign Council and Management Committee List in the state.

According to a staff at the party secretariat situated along Okigwe road disclosed that the Imo PDP SWC under the leadership of Engr Charles Ugwu convened an emergency meeting where women leaders particularly members of Ihedioha's Reelection Movement across the 27 LGAs in the state were invited to come and append their signatures for the adoption and as well pass a vote of confidence on the state exco of the party.

Continuing, the insider source disclosed that the sum of 150,000 ( One hundred and fifty thousand naira) were pegged for each signatories.

Trouble started when majority of the women leaders demanded for advance payment before signing the document passing a vote of confidence on the Ugwu led state executive. But the reverse was the case when the agent of the state chairman insisted they sign before payment which led to women's refusal to sign the resolution resulting to fracas at the secretariat.

It could be recalled that the NWC extended invitation to Imo PDP stakeholders and invited them to a meeting in Abuja next week Tuesday, to play a fast one the SWC through the support of Ihedioha initiated another strategy by doctoring fake signatures so as to portray Imo PDP SWC as working harmoniously with party leaders in the state.

Our inside sources say this is ongoing as at the time of filing this report " but we know that the NWC are smart enough  to decipher an arrangement designed to decieve", the source noted.

... mandates supporters to sign document passing vote of confidence on Ugwu led exco

There is uneasy calm at the party secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Imo state chapter, NewsGazzete can authoritatively confirm.

Our roving reporter who visited the Okigwe road office of the party gathered that hundreds of party faithful loyal to Chief Emeka Ihedioha are already on ground as they were presented with pen and typed documents once they arrived the party office and  directed to append their signatures and names.

One of the party members when contacted  said the signing of the document/ resolution passing a vote of confidence on the Engr Charles Ugwu led state executive of the party.

Continuing, he confided in our reporter that there are series of meetings ongoing at the party secretariat as regards the NWC invitation extended to Imo PDP stakeholders to Abuja by Tuesday next week.

It was also learnt that the purported emergency vote of confidence on Ugwu led SWC was a script designed by Ihedioha's camp as last minute strategy to save self imposed chairmanship of the Imo PDP Presidential Campaign Council.

Meanwhile, Candidates of the party both National and State Assembly had already advised their supporters  to stare clear Imo PDP secretariat to avoid being blackmailed as part of the purported fake Presidential Campaign Council List.

Also, stakeholders of the party frowns at the impunity by the Imo PDP SWC convening a private meeting for a Governorship aspirant at the state party secretariat as this development may attract consequences as other groups has threatened to visit the party office  to dislodge Ihedioha's Reelection Movement meeting and cause havoc where they are holding the illegal meeting for the former deputy speaker, Chief Emeka Ihedioha.

Reliable information at our disposal has it that Mr. Emeka IHEDIOHA had a meeting with PDP candidates were he tried to pit them against the party Stakeholders, Elders and leaders to side him and his handpicked SWC members.

This meeting was on the backdrop of the cancellation of the illegitimately composed and discredited list of IHEDIOHA loyalists and wife’s and children of the SWC members dubbed Presidential Campaign Council, PCC.

The party candidates should be aware that their elections are at stake. Some of them are contesting for the very first time and need to be careful and stop being deceived by a man who rode on the back of the party 3 times to the House of Representatives and served as governor for 8 months only. Ihedioha has benefitted from PDP and still benefiting till date and our party candidates should be wise. They should remain neutral in any debate for or against part leaders contesting for governor and have their ambition as prime focus.

The plan of Mr Emeka IHEDIOHA is to set-up these candidates by pushing them to attend the stakeholders meeting where they will be disgraced at Abuja. These candidates should avoid the EMBARRASSMENT awaiting them in Abuja if they attend the meeting. They would be up to lose their election in the circumstance they are seen to be against the wishes of the Elders, Stakeholders and leaders of the party while following sheepishly another man whose third term ambition has derailed and lost bearing.

The candidates of Imo PDP must be as wise as a serpent. Politics is about interest, their own interest being  victorious at the polls should be paramount  rather than lose their election supporting a drowning man, they should remain neutral. This is a general election. Ihedioha would not vote or be seen outside his Mbutu ward and results from the 2019 Elections shows his Mbaise Magic Votes days are over. His advantage in party affains used in rigging his way to PDP ticket is over too. A new Sheriff is in town.  Monkey sabi climb tree na because tree dey close to demselves.

A word is enough for the wise.
