Ruby Emele Grassroot Movement, a support group of the Imo State Honorable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Isiala  Mbano Local Government has joined Imolites of conscience to endorse the Governor of the state, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for another tenure based on his superlative performance in his first term in office.

Ruby Emele Grassroot Movement made the following resolutions:

1. We the aboved members of Ruby Emele Grassroot Movement, a support group of Imo State Honorable Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy affairs has declared total support for the Gov. Hope Uzodimma for second tenure. 

2. We want to reassure our mentor and principal, Hon. Ruby  Emele that we have adopted the Governor Hope Uzodimma as our sole candidate in the 2023 Governorship election in Imo State to continue the good work.

3.We have seen that Governor Hope Uzodimma is the most qualified to govern the state again considering his overwhelming performance in his first tenure.

4. We want our people to know that the Governor Hope Uzodimma is the best amongst all the candidates that want  to govern the state in 2023.

5. We want our people to understand that any other person aside the Governor will be a green horn who will need time to understand the job.

6.We have taken notice of the superlative performance of the Governor in the whole of the three senatorial zones in the state especially the reconstruction of the federal roads in Owerri/Orlu road, Owerri/Okigwe road and that of the Owerri/Mbaise/Umuahia roads respectively.

7. The Ruby  Emele Grassroot Movement maintained that Imo Governor should be accorded the necessary respect he deserves for the good and wonderful things he is doing in the State 

8.It is on record that our principal, Hon. Ruby  Emele is working tirelessly with the true leaders of the State in moving the state forward.

9. We know that the Governor has shown his undying love and passion to Imolites, hence we shall give him our full support to build the Imo of our collective dreams.

10. It is based on this conviction that, we reaffirm our full support to our highly respected leader, Governor, Hope Uzodimma and we back him for another tenure in 2023.

As Campaigns are heating up and candidates visiting critical stakeholders, The Standard bearer and the Candidate of the Young Progressive Party YPP in the forthcoming Imo State Governorship Election Dr. Kemdi Chino Opara maintained that insecurity will be gone in the state if given the mantle of Leadership.

In a press release from Dr. Kemdi Chino Opara YPP Imo State Governorship Campaign Council dated September 25th, 2023 and signed by Rt. Hon Michael Anyanwu the Deputy Director, Media and Communications, the Governorship hopeful expressed serious concern about the heightening insecurity in the State which has negatively affected the living standard and condition of Ndi Imo and has caused the premature deaths of many innocent Imolites, Royal Fathers and security operatives in the State.

Dr Opara made his worry known last Friday during his visit to the Bishop of the Diocese of Owerri of the Anglican Communion, His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Chukwuma C. Oparah PhD. JP, at the Bishop's Court in the Imo State capital. He noted that the three zones of the State have witnessed frequent attacks and killings by gunmen with Orlu Zone including Oru East local government area where the incumbent governor is from mostly affected. He continued that many bright brains that would have contributed positively to the good and progress of the State have been wasted by armed groups, adding that the most recent attack which saw the gruesome killing of eight security agents made up of soldiers, policemen and operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Umualumaku community, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of the State is very appalling and highly reprehensible.

The Obazu Mbieri-born leader and renowned philanthropist was visibly emotional and heartbroken over the incessant mindless killings of innocent Imo people as he explained that it is very distressing that the Imo government of the day has failed in its primary duty of ensuring peace and security in the State; stressing that no one in the State sleeps with both eyes closed regardless whether one lives in the city or rural area.

The Governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) assured that his administration will restore Security back in Imo State if given the mandate to serve Ndi Imo as their Governor and promised that his administration will live up to the primary duty of government of ensuring that the lives and property of Imo people are protected and guaranteed under the law.

Also expressing his worry over what he described as the reckless and cold abandonment of the families of the slain victims of insecurity in the State and he is worried and afraid that the lives of these affected Imo families may not remain the same since the death of their loved ones and breadwinners. The Imo Governor in-waiting who is on a vision-driven mission to liberate the State from maladministration insisted that no amount of compensation can bring back the lost lives, but Imo government under his watch as Governor will not abandon the bereaved families as restitution will be paid to them to assuage their unfortunate losses.

Showing further concern to help the families of the slain victims when he becomes Governor, the ardent Christian vowed to work with religious leaders and relevant professionals to provide them with effective psychological interventions and support including routine rehabilitative counselling in order to help them overcome depression and post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of grief.

The Gubernatorial ambition of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) flagbearer, High Chief Dr kemdi Chino Opara has received the blessing of the Igbo ancestors through the ndi Nze na Ozo, the sacred representation of the ancestors in human form. They gave the Mbieri-born philanthropist their full backing in the governorship race thereby adopting him as their prefered candidate. This endorsement has given his support base the desired robust boost ahead of the November 11, 2023 polls in Imo State.

During the adoption ceremony which took place yesterday at the country home of Dr. Kemdi Opara in Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitoli local government area of the State, the Nzes known to be the spiritual heads of their various communities and operating under the aegis of the Imo State Council of Ndi Nze na Ozo expressed their eagerness to form a strategic synergy with the YPP flagbearer and his team so as to help him win the forthcoming governorship election in the State, and also support him to actualize his election promises in his manifesto when he is sworn-in as governor.

The ndi Nze na Ozo who came from the three Senatorial zones of Imo State and are legitimately in possession of the Ofo and Ogu that symbolize authority and Justice which bestows them with the right to talk to the ancestors of Imo State, unanimously, exercising their prerogative endorsed Chief Opara for the Governorship position; Noting that their decision to give him their strong backing emanated from the fact that he is eminently qualified and his vision-driven manifesto is endearing.

Assuring to galvanize grassroots support and votes for him in the coming election, the revered traditional leaders held as the Conscience of the Society as the custodians of Truth in their various communities maintained that his educational background and international exposure instills confidence in them that he will perform exceptionally well in enthroning the long desired good governance and quality leadership in the State, adding that they will also play advisory roles to help him succeed in governance and industrialization of the the State.

The Nzes who are important custodians of truth in the Igbo society decried the rising poverty and hardship in Imo State and the unlucky situation of the State being governed by people who lack good educational background who then end up having nothing to offer the State and its People. 

Expressing their unflinching confidence in Dr Kemdi Chino Opara to make a huge positive difference in the State and make the people enjoy a clean breath of fresh air, the Imo State Council of Ndi Nze appealed to him not to forget to elevate the status of the Council through an Act of Parliament to enable them help him fight insecurity in the verious communities of the State.

Thanking the ndi Nze na Ozo for the endorsement, the YPP Governorship Candidate assured them of running an all-inclusive and people-oriented government which 75 percent of the cabinet will be made up of youths if he secures the mandate of Ndi Imo to be Imo Governor. THERE IS NO IOTA OF TRUTH IN THE ABOVE CALUMNY PROPAGATED BY ONE RECALCITRANT VICTOR DIALA, A NOTORIOUS SERIAL BETRAYER IGNOMINIOUSLY SUSPENDED AND SACKED FROM OFFICE AS STATE CHAIRMAN OF IMO YPP FOR UNWHOLESOME ABUSE OF OFFICE, GROSS MISCONDUCT AND ANTI-PARTY ACTIVITIES.

Our attention has been drawn to the charade and deceitful press conference held by a certain Victor Diala who who was serving suspension, and subsequently ignominiously dismissed from office as Chairman of the Imo State Chapter of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) by the National Working Committee of the Party for unwholesome abuse of office, gross misconduct and anti-party activities.

Ordinarily, we would have ignored the recalcitrant traitor and not glorify him with an undeserved response, but for members of our teeming supporters and the general public who may be hoodwinked by his unsubstantiated claim and obvious falsehood, there is need for us to set the records straight without any equivocation.

In the misguided and malicious press briefing, the sacked erstwhile State Chairman whose inglorious reign witnessed deliberate habitual violation of the Party's Constitution and bringing the Party into disrepute, speculated that our Principal and YPP flagbearer in the forthcoming Guber election in the State, High Chief Dr. Kemdi Chino Opara is indirectly working for the incumbent's second term bid while feigning to be contesting to succeed him.

He also conjectured that all the entire state executives and 305 ward members of YPP resigned their membership in the Party.  

While we make bold to refute the above falsehoods, it is not surprising to us that such a man of selfish disposition whose despotic leadership and embarrassing unruly conducts misrepresented the Party in a failed attempt to drag its reputation to the mud would mischievously resort to such calumny and disparaging remarks after his foiled attempt to mortgage the Party in the State to an opposition Party with the cruel intention to sabotage our Governorship Candidate in the way and manner he sabotaged the Party in the 2019 Guber election.

We do not want to delve into his despicable fraudulent activities, dishonesty and high handedness which infuriated the members of the Imo State Working Committee of the Party to pass a vote of no confidence on him and called for his indefinite suspension in order to stop him from causing further damage to the Party. 

It is worthy of note that Diala during his sterile reign as State Chairman of the Party was in the fraudulent habit of extorting money from Governorship Candidates. Other aspirants and candidates of the Party also suffered similar ugly fate in his hands.

When his overbearing incessant frivolous monetary demands from Dr Opara stopped yielding the desired results, Victor in his characteristic extortionist blackmail tendency declared him persona non grata and mischievously fabricated his false narrative just to discredit a just leader who out of his volition, passion and readiness to serve Ndi Imo from the shackles of poor governance, visionless leadership and undue hardships decided to join the Governorship race to liberate his people.

We therefore state unequivocally that Dr Kemdi Chino Opara, the YPP Governorship Candidate is in the race to win and secure the mandate of Ndi Imo to make the State great again. His ambition is self-sponsored with the Almighty Creator as his ultimate succor with the suffering masses of Imo State as his Bulwark of support. 

The falsehood that Dr Kemdi Chino Opara is directly or indirectly working for the second term bid of the incumbent administration should be outrightly discountenanced as it is coming from a frustrated sacked State Chairman who has been stopped in executing the ignominious script of sabotaging the YPP in concert with his paymasters for pecuniary gains. His desperate Press conference is a failed attempt to impress his paymaster that he has delivered on the assignment. 

Victor Diala’s patented antics of a notorious serial betrayer of his Party in elections is his stock-in-trade to always tradeoff his Party's Candidates by trivialising their Campaign efforts thereby discouraging the Party faithfuls and supporters to ostensibly give undue advantage to the Candidates of opposition Party who he is working in tandem with.

His deceitful claim that the entire State Executives and 305 ward members of the Party resigned their membership is a figment of his warped imagination in a desperate attempt to mislead the public. It should however be consigned to the dustbin as it is outright falsehood.

It makes no logical sense that the same executives and members of the Party who were victims of his despotic misrule who lost confidence in his ability to lead the Party and ensured his ignominious suspension and suspension would join him to leave the Party.

It is pertinent to state clearly that the Imo YPP Executive Committee and bona fide members of the Party under the ebullient, dynamic and competent leadership of Hon Kingsley Nwahiri are united, loyal and committed to the growth and wellbeing of the Party and to the victory of Dr Kemdi Chino Opara, the Party's standard-bearer in forthcoming November 11th guber election.

Some select members of the Imo State Bloggers Association yesterday 25th September 2023 met with the Standard bearer of the Young Progressive Party YPP in the forthcoming Imo State Governorship Election slated to hold November 11, 2023.

Dr. Kemdi Chino Opara harped on the need to have a Governor that has the interest of the State at heart. He decried constant demolition of legacies of out gone Governments by the Government of the day. According to him, "This is Imo State funds for crying out loud. You should work on what your predecessor started because Government is a continuum. In my Government, every Good policy of the previous administration will be continued". 

He used to occasion to dispel news going round that YPP has joined PDP and he is being sponsored by the incumbent Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma. According to him, "I am a man with integrity, I have gone far in my campaigns and I have what it takes to unseat the current Governor. He can't possibly sponsor me because I don't lack funds to push my campaigns. Also, YPP is intact with the current leadership". 

He urged the media to report based on facts and not emotion. He promised under his watch as the Governor of Imo state, there would be funds mapped out for the media that will help and ease the stress of Information dissemination in the State. He promised there will be freedom of press where no one will be gagged for his or her information.

He further urged Imolites to vote for him as he has the right credentials than every other candidates jostling for the Imo Guber seat.

A highly Cerebral community leader of note and the traditional Prime Minister of Umuduru Autonomous Community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, High Chief Nick Okorie has been honored by the Mbano Journalists Association as an Icon of Human Development. 

Speaking during the presentation of the prestigious award of honor to High Chief Nick Okorie in Portharcourt City Rivers State, the chairman of the association, Evang. Kelechi Uzomah said that the honor was in recognition of the humanitarian and laudable achievements of High Chief Nick Okorie to the entire Mbano nation. 

He maintained that High Chief Nick Okorie has been a Community leader of note and a pathfinder of great nobility, who has giving all his best to the betterment of the youths, women and men of Mbano nation. 

Evang. Uzomah added that the Mbano Journalists Association decided to honor High Chief Nick Okorie in order to encourage him to do more for the people and humanity. 

The chairman of Mbano Journalists Association said that posterity will never forget the contributions of High Chief Nick Okorie to the people of Mbano nation. 

He recounted the achievements of High Chief Nick Okorie in the areas of mentoring the younger ones as a former school teacher and counselor, saying that the people of Mbano nation will forever be grateful to him.

Evang Kelechi Uzomah called on other well to do individuals in Mbano nation to emulate the humanitarian gestures of High Chief Nick Okorie for the betterment of the people. 

Responding, the awardee, High Chief Nick Okorie thanked the Mbano Journalists Association for finding him worthy of this honor.

He said that the honor given to him by the media practitioners will encourage to do more for humanity and the people.

High Chief Nick Okorie used the opportunity to reassure the media practitioners of determination to contribute his quota to the betterment of Mbano nation.

 Joint Nigerian Army, Police troops Neutralize ESN Combatants in Ohafia and Arochukwu axis of Abia.

... Burst hideouts, Recover Artillery Guns

Joint troops of 82 Division Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Police have neutralized 3 combatants of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate, Eastern Security Network (ESN) in a fierce encounter that ensued during a clearance operation in the early hours of Monday 18 September 2023 at Igboro Forest, between Arochukwu and Ohafia Local Government Areas of Abia state. 

The camps were uncovered, after several weeks  of credible surveillance revealed that IPOB/ESN were using the forest as a combat training ground for their members and as a base for planning and launching attacks on targeted civilians, security operatives and government facilities in the state.

 On further exploiting the camp, the gallant troops recovered several weapons and ammunition, amongst others. The Items recovered include One improvised 16 Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) Gun mounted on a vehicle,  One improvised 12 MBRL Gun, One improvised 6 MBRL Gun,  One AK 47 Rifle,  One Dane Gun, 6 locally made Rocket Launchers, four Improvised Explosive Devices, five Fragmental Jackets,  One Baofeng Radio, Military Camouflage Uniforms and several assorted charms. 

In a similar development that also took place in the early hours of today, 18 September 2023,  same troops of 82 Division NA in synergy with the Nigerian Police Force, acting on credible intelligence busted IPOB/ESN hideout at Ezioha Mgbowo in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu state.
