.... appeal to them to attend NWC /Imo PDP Stakeholders Meeting In Abuja

- as party faithful threatens to work against candidates behind Imo PCC  doctored list

Owerri_ Fresh revelations emerged last night, Wednesday aftermath directives from the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP extended invitation to Imo PDP stakeholders to visit the Wadata Plaza on Tuesday, next week in continuation of their investigation into the purported Imo PDP Presidential Campaign Council and Management Committee List, NewsGazzete can authoritatively confirm. 

Our roving reporter who gained access to the venue of the meeting undisclosed gathered that the meeting was convened at the instance of the former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha.

Highpoint of the meeting was the decision of the NWC of PDP inviting stakeholders of the party to Wadata Plaza. 

While the meeting was in session, the furious Ihedioha accused the NWC of frustrating his governorship reelection ambition by attempting to review the Imo PDP Presidential Campaign Council and Management Committee List.

Continuing, Ihedioha disclosed " I have invested hugely in the party, my being the Chairman of the Campaign Council Team in the state should be a compensation to me as I was removed from office as an elected governor even while the party abandoned me to carry my cross, I got no financial assistance to prosecute my case at the Supreme Court rather all I got was protest march that yielded no positive result.

"If the decision of the NWC of our party is anything to go by which I strongly believe that my name may be substituted with another Imo son to lead the Campaign in the state, then am doomed politically. 

"By so doing, my political relevance and status as the leader of the party in the state will be subject of mockery. 

"I have called you all candidates of our party whom I played role in influencing your emergence in the last primary election to come to my rescue.  " I wish to bring to your notice that my political future is at stake and if we don't take a bold step, we maybe  heading to political hibernation.

 Hence, I appeal to you all to make yourselves available next week at the NWC meeting with Imo PDP stakeholders to defend my chairmanship of the Campaign Council for our Presidential candidate and Vice Presidential candidate in the state". 

The Candidates present at the meeting were also mandated to donate funds to transport select Pro-Ihedioha's party loyalists to Abuja on Monday next week ahead of the Tuesday meeting.

 Our correspondent gathered that the sum of 8million naira was raised to take care of transport fare and other logistics of Ihedioha Reelection Movement members to Abuja in solidarity.

Meanwhile, some stakeholders and faithful of the party who got a wind of the meeting have vowed to publish names of candidates of the party plotting with Ihedioha to subvert the decision and position of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Imo state regarding the Presidential Campaign Council and Management Committee List.

They vowed to work against any candidate who identifies with Ihedioha regarding the doctored Imo PDP Presidential Campaign Council and Management Committee List, NewsGazzete confirmed.

Also, there are feelers that Imo youths who are plotting to get back at Ihedioha for calling them Saboteurs for supporting Mr Peter Obi had also renewed their resolution and commenced mobilisation to work against any PDP candidate that identifies with Ihedioha ahead of the 2023 general election, describing him as a desperate politician.

In a similar development, a Chieftain of the Labor Party in the state who pleaded on condition of anonymity told our reporter that political parties' stalwarts in the state are closely monitoring the outcome of the PDP  National Working Committee's meeting with Imo PDP stakeholders scheduled to hold next week in Abuja, adding that Ihedioha's desperation led to mass exodus in the party each time he clinches the party's governorship ticket while advising that Labor Party will be willing to receive defectors from the party in the event of the party failing to resolve the internal dispute in PDP.

Fresh development has emerged on the crisis rocking the Imo state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP following manipulation of list of the party's Campaign Council list in the state.

Our correspondent in Abuja gathered that the National Working Committee, NWC of PDP in a meeting held on Wednesday deliberated extensively on Imo PDP leadership issue and as well suspend indefinitely, the Imo PDP Presidential Campaign Council and Management Committee List.

Also, the NWC extended invitation to stakeholders of the party from the state to have an interface with the National Working Committee so as for them to get the true position of situation in the state. 

The state party chairman, Engr Charles Ugwuh was also advised to suspend all activities regarding the presidential campaign council and management committee list pending when the NWC gives its final verdict on Imo PDP matter.

It was learnt that the Imo PDP stakeholders are expected in Abuja by next week on invitation by the NWC, our correspondent gathered.

It's simply a show of shame. The main opposition party in Imo State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is dancing naked amid irreversible turmoil and turbulence, that aren't good and befitting of any serious party that has 12 weeks to contest in a national general election.

At a supposed unveiling of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) ceremony recently, hell, where Satan resides, was let lose and violence erupted ending in bloody fracas.

That was as two major camps in the embattled and embarrassed party commenced overt chants of songs of support for their leaders and guber aspirants, viz Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha and Senator Samuel nnaemeka Anyanwu (Samdaddy)!

Within the same party hall discordant chants of "Samdaddy ka anyi he esoo" and "Ihedioha, oke muo" were in a hot shouting match! Then, we intoned "Cry, beloved party"! Imo PDP is finished and gone! 

The gist, however, is that the fall and fall of Imo PDP is self-inflicted handiwork of Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha. 

According to insider sources, the only thing that matters to Ihedioha is his guber ambition and aspiration. Everything else doesn't matter! 

The cause of the latest showdown and brouhaha is that Ihedioha characteristically selected members of the Campaign Committees, appointing himself Chairman and his Deputy, Engr. Gerald Irona, Deputy Chairman. 

The camp of Senator Samuel Anyanwu didn't find that acceptable and decided to make its anger know by violence, the only language that injustice understands and respects. 

Fortunately, the National Working Committee waded into the conflict and disclaimed the purported Campaign Council leaders and members list, and promising to produce the authentic list in no distant future. 

A school of thought is strongly convinced that the root cause of the troubles of Imo PDP is Ihedioha, who, according to the pundits, refused to allow Samdaddy enjoy the benefits and privileges of being the ranking officer of the party in Imo State,in his capacity as the National Secretary of PDP. 

As it stands, while Imo PDP leaders and members do their internal hostilities and battles, a chieftain of Imo APC has envisioned a massive exodus of Imo PDP leaders and members into Imo APC in the coming days and weeks. What Imo PDP lost to internal squabbles, Imo APC will quietly and peacefully gain! 

Interestingly, another impeccable insider source asserts that Ihedioha is hell bent on destroying Imo PDP before taking the flock of his hypnotized captives to either the APGA or LP in the new year, after their ongoing discussions and negotiations ends.

Obviously, as it is now, Imo State hasn't any identifiable and presentable opposition party in the State. Hence, the field is wide open for Imo APC to walkover the opposition cult in the State and sweep the polls with wide margin of votes, victory and mandates.

The fall of Imo PDP and Ihedioha, Samdaddy and other concerned leaders is a tragic incident that political historians will find very interesting. 

The death of a political party is worse than the death of any single individual! Adieu, Imo PDP!

State Chairman and Secretary of PDP in Imo State, Chief Charles Ugwu and Nze Ray Emeana have appointed their biological sons, Chuks Ugwu and Chinemerem Emeana as members of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council in Imo State respectively.

While members and stakeholders of PDP in the state had rejected the list, political analysts have described the duo as individuals working for their selfish interest at the detriment of PDP victory in Imo state.

Both Chucks Ugwu and Chinemerem Emeana are Members of Election Management Committee in the Presidential Campaign Council, some leaders of the party revealed that they were included to be in charge of funds meant for the committee.

Imo PDP can do better.

The attention of the Divine Mandate Movement has been drawn to a press release trending on social media and purportedly issued by one Collins Opuruzor falsely claiming to be the State Publicity Secretary ( Imo State PDP has no Publicity Secretary at the moment) of the Party and stating that the processes and procedures for composition of the Presidential Campaign Council and Management Committee were complied with.

For the avoidance of doubt, the said Collins Opuruzor  has no authority whatsoever to issue clarification on the status of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Presidential Campaign Council and Management Committee being creation of the National Working Committee on behalf of the Party. 

Consequently, all leaders, stakeholders and teaming supporters of our Party should discountenance the purported press release and await a clarification from the national body of the Party in respect to the subject matter when a new date for the Inauguration of the Campaign Council and Management Committee will be conveyed through the appropriate channel of the Party.

The clarification of our national body through the Presidential Campaign Council when issued will engender the much needed unity and cohesion required in our State for the success of our Party in the 2023 general elections.
