The Ag. Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, UAES, Umuagwo, Imo State, Prof. Chiedozie C. Eze has taken his quest to make UAES a well sought-after University, east of the Niger to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory by visiting the Joint Admissions & Matriculation Board, (JAMB), the National Universities Commission, (NUC) and Tertiary Education Trust Fund, (TETfund).

The VC at the various agenciess, emphasised that as a young institution, UAES needs all the support it can get. He expressed appreciation to the Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodimma for being enthusiastic about the school and his continued assistance. However, the institution still needs more support from other national and international  institutions and agencies, hence the visit. He called for partnerships to leapfrog the development of UAES assuring that all assistance received would be effectively utilized.

At TETfund, the UAES team thanked the agency for approving the construction of a 500 seater capacity lecture hall. Also the approval last week granted for library development to UAES as well as Intritutional based research grants to UAES last year. 

Key departmetal heads of the agency all pledged to assist the UAES within the limits of their offices. They all expresed delight at the responsive, appreciative and friendly disposition of the Vice Chancellor.

At the brief parley in JAMB, a Desk Officer at the agency for UAES would be unveiled soon for ease of communication..

The Ag. VC and his team had a long meeting with the Executive Secretary, NUC, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed

and his management team who all pledged to assist the VC realize his intentions for the University. Prof Rasheed, a former VC of BUK and age-long friend of Prof. Eze offered strategies on how to increase students population, raise funds and move the institution forward. He specifically promised to work with sister agencices to ensure UAES Umuagwo receives the desired support and assistance. 

Prof Eze was accompanied by the Registrar, Prince Edward Njemanze, PRO, Ikechukwu Ogbonna and Ag. Director of Physical Planning, Osuagwu Chike.

There has been some childish wimps about Sen. Samuel Anyanwu, Samdaddy, not being part of the PDP campaigns in the state. It is now clear that ihedioha and his cotravelers don't have any reasonable issue to challenge Samdaddy on and are now throwing sand.

For one, they seem to forget that Sen. Anyanwu is the National Secretary of the PDP. In this capacity, like the National Chairman and other NWC members are deeply involved in the presidential campaigns. Why is Benue and Soloto states PDP not asking why Ayu and Bature are not part of their campaigns in their respective states?

Secondly, Samdaddy has the most visible and active Political structure in Imo State called, Divine Mandate Movement, DMM that has been involved in the radical campaigns for Atiku Abubakar and every other PDP candidate. On each and every occasion, he is represented officially. It is instructive that these mobilization by DMM is sponsored by him.

Thirdly, Samdaddy has without publicity and noise given personal support and contribution to most of the PDP candidates. In a bid to make PDP viable and formidable, SamDaddy has in various fora made cash donations running into millions and assisted in alleviating the sufferings of the party. All these are verifiable!

Finally, Sen Samuel Anyanwu has openly campaigned for PDP candidates on several occasions he was in the state. 

The allegation about working for other parties outside PDP is too pedestrian, petty and childish to get a response.

Yes, Samdaddy is busy working for PDP at Abuja and supporting the party in the state at the same time.

This is the man who has all it takes to address the challenges of our beloved Constituency and usher in a new lease of development. With Kingsoul, it won't be business as usual. 

Orlu Federal Constituency needs to expand and advance. It is the heart of Imo State. It needs to recover from serial damages. Without the development of Orlu, Imo shall be oppressed, under developed and stagnant. Therefore, we need a capable hand to take Orlu, Orsu and Oru East to glorious years. 

By their fruits, they shall be known. Hon. Kingsley Onyegbula is a successful man who is behind the success of many in Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency. Nobody can give what he does not have. Great things can only be done by great men. It is what one has that he can give. It is a self developed man that can develop others. Kingsoul is capable of bringing the needed developments in any leadership position because he is himself an embodiment of success, progress, prosperity and advancement. - Warns Against Over-Desperation For Power

National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has charged Imo people to vote the party’s Presidential standard bearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and all PDP candidates in the 2023 general elections, adding that their victories would usher in a new lease of life.

Anyanwu therefore warned politicians jostling for public offices to reduce the rate of desperation in a bid to grab power, and admonished them to instead channel all their efforts towards the development of the society.

He made this call during the Presidential Campaign Council rally in Ngor Okpala local government area of the state on Friday.

Addressing party members, Senator Anyanwu represented by a member of the PDP National Presidential Campaign Council and Chairman of Divine Mandate Movement (DMM), Evang Myke Ikoku, challenged them to consider the current price of fuel, and food items among others to be able to take decision whether APC deserves to be reelected in the February 25th general election or not.

According to him, “Our strength at the moment should solely be to ensure victory for our Presidential and National Assembly candidates”, appealing to those interested in the Governorship ticket of PDP in the state to play down on it until the party’s candidates emerge victorious.

Evang Ikoku further urged them to vote for all candidates of PDP in the forthcoming general elections, charging them to go back to their respective wards to mobilize massively to ensure victory for PDP and its candidates.

For sometime now, the only message been churned out for public discourse is that Evang Myke Ikoku is working for the APC and the present Hope Uzodinma led administration in the state.

While some say that their conviction to believe or assume that Evang Ikoku is covertly working for the current government of APC in the state is because, he had hitherto convened a political pressure group, “HOPISM” for Governor Uzodinma and his administration.

As Igbo adage puts it, “it is better for the wind to blow, for everyone to know that a Reverend Father wears trouser”. Before government came against Evang Ikoku, all efforts to dissuade or disabuse the minds of the public by convincing them that Evang Ikoku has nothing to do with the APC government of Hope Uzodinma fell on deaf ears, but the current government’s actions against AllSeasons group has summarily vindicated Evang Ikoku.

Now the crux: Those who know Evang Myke Ikoku can attest that he is a man of his words, very principled, disciplined and focused. Aside being an entrepreneur of note, he is also a renowned politician and crack business mogul.

As a focused politician and business man, Evang Ikoku knows when to starts and ends an action especially, when such action is in variance with the expectations and vision of the masses.

It is most absurd and preposterous to assume that having established a business empire worth over N20 billion in his state, Imo and assisted the government to reduce unemployment saga, that Evang Ikoku should not be accorded the needed respect as a major stakeholder in the state.

Regrettably, those who call themselves leaders or stakeholders including the Governor do not have any stake in Imo state. This is because major of their businesses are either cited in Lagos, Abuja, Rivers or Delta State respectively, but in his case, Evang Ikoku resolved to bring his wealth home to assist in the enforcement of the mantra of “Aku Ruo Ulo”.

Prior to the sealing of Mimi place and Havana Cinema respectively over a blotted tax, Evang Ikoku had secured a court order baring the APC administration led by Governor Uzodinma not to demand tax for the period of the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic. The order based its decision that during the period, all businesses within the state and the country at large were shut and lockdown.

Painfully, the government outrightly disobeyed this Court order and still went ahead to close down his businesses. What this means is that the state does not respect the law that established it.

However, having passed through the hot needle of the brutal APC administration in Imo state, doubting Thomases and agents of PDP destabilization can now rest and see that Evang Ikoku is strongly opposed to the policies of the government in the state hence, now working for APC except his party, the PDP.

It is unbelievable to accept hook line and sinker with respect to the morons abd nonentities that someone like Evang Ikoku could be treated like this if actually, he is working for this government?

The gestapo way the state government’s agents carried out the “illegal” sealing despite court order is an indication that the Hope Uzodinma’s administration has been nursing some acrimony and animosity against Evang Ikoku for a long time. 

Report has it that since Evang Ikoku left and dumped the Governor Uzodinma’s government after he discovered that government’s policies were in variance to his genuine vision and conscience to direct and redirect the government aright on the good part to toe; the administration has been targeting him for a reprisal.

The manner in which government’s agents carried out the sealing confirmed the public assumption that it was not only politically motivated but a clear vendetta against Evang Ikoku for leaving or dumping the HOPISM ideology and the administration at large.

This action of government’s brigandage and forceful entry in the state is not only bad, alarming and discouraging owing to the fact that the state is been confronted with debilitating insecurity where hundreds of innocent citizens have died. A situation where government that ought to be protecting the masses engage same masses in fierce battle has much to be desired.

Yesterday evening, Hon. Kingsley Onyegbula aka KINGSEOUL had the pleasure of hosting a Novelty match between Young Stars of Umudioka-Ukwu and Young Stars of Orlu Football clubs.

As a lover of youths, Kingseoul was at the Football field of Progress Primary School Umudioka to watch the game live. As a progressive, he saw talent display by the young lads.

Moved by the tactical display, He promised to sponsor Five (5) best players from both teams through KINGSEOUL FOUNDATION for onward Football trade in Spain, Europe after 3 weeks of tutelage in Kaduna by football ace Tijani Babangida. 

Yes, it will be an All Expense paid trip from Orlu to Kaduna on Wednesday 8th February 2023 and from Kaduna to Spain after the 3 weeks training.
