The Federal Government has approved a new policy called Medipool, aimed at reducing the cost of drugs and medical supplies for Nigerians.
The decision was made during Monday’s Federal Executive Council meeting, presided over by President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.
According to Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, Medipool will operate as a group purchasing organisation to secure competitive prices and ensure the nationwide supply of essential medicines and healthcare products.
