The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has condemned the recent killings in Benue State, describing them as a national tragedy and demanding immediate government intervention.
CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, called the attacks “senseless and horrific,” urging the Federal Government to deploy more security forces and consider declaring a state of emergency.
He also called for a transparent investigation and prosecution of the perpetrators, warning that continued inaction would deepen insecurity and embolden attackers.
