The Chairman of Imo State Football Association Barrister Ifeanyi Dike says, Heartland Football Club played very good football and better under Technical Adviser Emmanuel Amuneke.
Although the Owerri outfit got relegated at the end of the NPFL 2024/2025 Season, kudos must be given to the backroom staff and the players.
“Emmanuel Amuneke brought a new team spirit, we saw the changes and the improvement he brought but at the end of the season the club got relegated. Many things happened in a clubside, players leaving at the detriment of the club, you will start looking for replacement, so all these things affected Heartland as a team,” Barrister Ifeanyi Dike told www.totorinews.com exclusively on phone from Owerri, the Imo State capital on Monday.
”I believe that Heartland Fc will be reorganized and many changes will bring significant growth to the club,” he added.
Heartland Fc will be competing in the Nigeria National League in the 2025/2026 season after a disappointing 17th position in the Nigeria Premier Football League season 2024/2025 in 38 matches it played.
