The Akwa Ibom Police Command has distributed N37.28 million to 33 families of officers who died in service. Commissioner Baba Azare presented the cheques on behalf of the IGP, Olukayode Egbetokun, under the Force’s Family Welfare and Group Life Assurance Schemes.
He described the gesture as a tribute to the officers' sacrifices and pledged continued support for police families.
