FG Seeks NSCDC Support to Tackle Illegal Mining in Jigawa



The Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development has sought stronger collaboration with the NSCDC to combat illegal mining in Jigawa State. 


During a visit to the NSCDC headquarters in Dutse, Federal Mines Officer Mohammed Muntari raised concerns over rising illegal activities threatening the environment and economy. He called for joint patrols, intelligence sharing, and compliance monitoring.


 NSCDC State Commandant Bala Bodinga pledged support, stressing the importance of inter-agency cooperation to protect mineral resources and enforce mining regulations.
