FG: EFCC, ICPC Recovered $967.5bn, N277bn in 2024; Unveils Asset Database



The Federal Government says anti-graft agencies recovered $967.5 billion and N277 billion in cash and assets in 2024. Attorney-General Lateef Fagbemi revealed this at an asset recovery summit in Abuja, where a central database for forfeited assets was unveiled.


EFCC recovered N248bn, $105m, and 753 properties, while ICPC retrieved N29.6bn and $966,900. The government also repatriated $763.7m and £6.47m between 2017 and 2024, funding infrastructure and social programs.


President Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, urging strict asset management and anti-corruption reforms.
