The American Veterans of Igbo Descent (AVID) has accused the Federal Government of neglecting rising insecurity in Northern Nigeria while focusing on IPOB in the Southeast.
In a statement by Chief Dr. Sylvester Onyia, AVID condemned the NSA’s recent remarks linking IPOB to violent attacks, calling them “hate speech” and interference in Nnamdi Kanu’s ongoing trial.
The group criticized the government’s silence on violence in states like Borno, Zamfara, and Katsina, where terrorists and bandits operate freely, warning that biased security responses threaten national unity.
