Transparency International Nigeria has blamed Presidents Tinubu, Buhari, and Obasanjo for years of unaccounted funds and corruption in NNPCL. A recent World Bank report revealed NNPCL failed to remit N500bn in oil revenue in 2024.
TI and experts are calling for a full audit and probe of the company, including former CEO Mele Kyari, citing persistent lack of transparency and weak oversight.
