The Director General of the National Orientation Agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Oniru has commended the Ugwumba Leadership Center for its contributions towards nation building through the Rebrand Nigeria Campaign program.
He spoke through the Director, Special Duties and States Operation at the Agency, Mr. David Akoji when the Management of the Ugwumba Leadership Center paid him a courtesy visit today in Abuja.
Mr. David Akoji used the opportunity to throw more light on the new programs of the Agency, including the National Identity Project, which he said comprises the National Values Charter; The Nigerian Promise; Citizens Codes; etc.
Addressing the NOA Management, Mr. Remy Chukwunyere, the Executive Director of the Center, who represented our President, H.E Ugwumba Uche Nwosu congratulated the Director General of the Agency for his sterling leadership that has brought the agency back to life.
He informed the audience that the Rebrand Nigeria Campaign was launched in 2020 to aggressively change the ugly narratives and negative perceptions about Nigerians, abroad and to implement programs that will inculcate our national values into Nigerians, both home and in Diaspora.
Also speaking, Mr. Ismaila Dancida, a member of the Advisory Board of the Center narrated how Nigerians, abroad are mistreated because of the negative perceptions they have about us and called for immediate actions from every stakeholder to arrest the ugly situation.
At the end of the partnership meeting, both organizations agreed to collaborate in order to make Nigeria great again.
Other Directors of the agency present at the meeting were: Mrs. Theresa Maduekwe, the Director of Abuse Rights and Narcotics; Barr. Tessy Nnalue, Director of Community Safety Awareness and Compliance; Alhaji Bala Musa, Director of Communication and Media; Mrs. Onyem Blessing, Director of Youth Empowerment and Inclusivity; and Dr. Ayoola, Director of Health and Social Care.
