Reps Grant 10-Year Protection to Journalist Who Exposed Certificate Scam

The House of Representatives has approved 10 years of security protection for investigative journalist Umar Audu, following his exposé on certificate racketeering in the Benin Republic.

Audu revealed how fake university degrees were issued and cleared by Nigerian authorities. The House is probing the scandal and urged police and NSCDC to ensure Audu's safety. Officials pledged reforms, including stricter verification and biometric checks, to prevent future abuses.
