Rivers Crisis: I Remain Committed to My Oath – Fubara

Suspended Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, has reaffirmed his commitment to the oath of office, vowing to stay focused despite ongoing political unrest.

In a statement marking his May 29, 2025, inauguration anniversary, Fubara thanked Rivers people for their support and described his tenure as challenging but impactful.

Fubara, suspended amid a political rift with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, recently met Wike in a reconciliation move. Rivers is currently led by Sole Administrator Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd).
