In what many are calling a turning point for Imo State politics, up to 20 new members officially joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) from various political parties including LP, ADC, APGA, PDP, APC, and PRP. The growing wave of defections was sealed during an extended executive meeting held at the SDP State Secretariat in Imo.
The meeting, which brought together party executives and members from all 27 local government areas, was presided over by the respected Leader of SDP in Imo State and South-East Zonal Secretary, Prince Obinna Bright Ekwebelem. His message was clear: SDP is not just rising it’s becoming a political force that cannot be ignored.
Amid energy, unity, and enthusiasm, a unanimous vote of confidence was passed in full support of the National Chairman, Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam, and the National Youth Leader, applauding their bold leadership and tireless commitment to building a credible alternative for Nigeria.
With Imo now gearing up for a political realignment, the SDP has positioned itself as the true party of the people inclusive, visionary, and ready to lead. The message across the state is loud and clear: SDP is coming, and Nigeria is watching.
