The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has summoned Air Peace over multiple passenger complaints of unpaid refunds for cancelled flights.
In a notice dated June 13, FCCPC directed the airline to appear before the Commission on June 23 in Abuja. It accused Air Peace of violating consumer protection laws guaranteeing timely refunds for unfulfilled bookings.
The Commission also demanded records of cancelled flights, processed refunds, and actions taken to mitigate passenger hardship. The move follows public outrage and a recent altercation involving Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who alleged extortion by Air Peace staff.
